scwiffy
Is the Director of Football pointless in FMC 2014?? Must admit I'm in the lowest English league so that might be why. But I've given him loads of transfer targets with no success. I've bought all players and done contracts myself including renewals. Was thinking of just doing with our hime but thought i'd ask here incase I'm missing something obvious.
RicardoW
I'm not fond of working with a DoF, because I'd like to pick my own players. I tried it once with Man City in a fun save, and it just didn't work.
scwiffy
Well at least I'm not the only one. Will get rid of him and see what happens
ferencvaros
I've bought all players and done contracts myself including renewals. I've never asked Director to do anything. Well, suddenly I'm a noob. I've never even known it was possible to sign players any other way.

scwiffy
Only problem now.......how do I sack him????????? Cant see it anywhere
Possums
I always give the DoF the boot with a mutual termination when I take over a club and never hire another. Saves their salary and lets me have full control.
scwiffy
I always give the DoF the boot with a mutual termination when I take over a club and never hire another. Saves their salary and lets me have full control. Cant see the option in Vita version, must not be available????
BonScott
I always give the DoF the boot with a mutual termination when I take over a club and never hire another. Saves their salary and lets me have full control. I try to hire some famous player for this role, just to make the club look good, and keep the player's legacy going. Of course he doesn't do anything, but when you have millions in the bank it's worth having a nice figurehead
distant sounds
I signed a DoF for Man Utd in the demo and he started trying to sign players I didn't want. It was then I realised I didn't even need him as I've always preferred to do transfer buisness on my own. I have left that role vacant since I started a proper game. Brick_Tamland
I use the DOF to move my transfer listed players and loan out players ...works great for that feature ... takes it off my hands ... If the club does not have a DOF I just assign those 2 tasks to the managing director.
scwiffy
Found out how to sack in the Vita version, just press R and go to contract. I managed to get a mutual termination
