chucklehead
Hello people Do players stop improving when they hit 25? I've had a number of players now, who have had 4.5 - 5 star potential, hit the age of 25, then be described as 'unlikely to improve' all of a sudden. If it is relevant, I'm playing in classic mode. I have a decent Head of Scouting and Ass Man, so I don't think the problem lies there. Thanks for looking folks
BoxToBox
I think it slows down a lot at least, and is relevant to position. I signed a goalkeeper at 27, and he notably improved over the next season.
kris0710
I don't think it is they will stop improving but clearly the older they get the less potential they have as they become established players not up and coming youngsters. I notice players slow down there improvements as they get to mid 20's and you won't get such drastic increases in stats the older they get.
Possums
I think ~24 is the point where they stop improving significantly in a physical sense.
scooterSB
I am sure I have seen somewhere that in FM Strikers & Midfielders peak mid-late 20s, defenders peak late 20s/early 30s and Goalkeeprs peak around 32. Even past their 'peak' they can improve in different areas, and the may play better if they play with tactics that suit them more.
genesimmons
Their CA stops improving by the time they reach 25. Their mentals will still improve, but it will be mostly due to attribute redistribution.
zenzen
Their CA can still improve. My fullback was still raising his CA at 29. genesimmons
PA 200 player improved by 10 CA... That's not a lot, really. Like 5%. With standard players (PA less that 160) - pretty insignificant, IMO.

eple
That's not correct, milnerpoint...? I have plenty of old pro's who's mental attributes have gone up. Their CA has probably gone down quite a bit during that time and they have lost their physical and technical edge, but the mental attributes have gone up all over the board.
