The ref is stood there with his arm out indicating the freekick. Ronaldo comes over & points out that he has just tamped on the guys nadgers. Rooney pushses him & when the referee sees this he moves & calls Rooney over. I saw it slow motion the other night but don't remember where.

I am pretty sure he was sent off raising his hands rather tha nthe foul. Otherwise I don't get why te ref waited so long after giving the foul to send him off.

Stopgap, but might be worth a punt.

Who are we kidding though - I'd still take two central midfielders over a midfielder and a striker in a second. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

yeah spot on. still think the midfield cover is more important than replacing ruud (for now). I think with a more balanced midfield and more security, you won't get rooney roaming around here, there and everywhere.

Hmm, but I think Tevez could respond well to being the main striker. Even though he likes to run with the ball at defenders, he's strong, and amazy at finishing. Tell him to stay up and he will do

Assists and at-fault-for's up for debate ofc. Suggestions for further stats welcome.

Not blamed anyone for the goal today, ball-to-hand on Paddy I thought, Edwin could maybe have done better but it'd be harsh to blame him for that. I've given bookings to O'Shea and Ferdinand, can't remember any others, please correct me if I've forgotten.

But you asked me what is to listen to from the other side of the divide, and I presented such an argument. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

yes, and i've listened, i've seen the reasoning from a business side of view, and it hasn't improved my view of the Glazers one iota. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

and that is exactly the same as what Martin said when he mentioned the ones who don't give a flying about the Glazers despite being told the details. So lets end it there. I've had enough anger today over the Trident story, I don't want any more.

Who would you lot get as a keeper?

I'll tell you who I really fancy, and it will probobly chock you a bit- Andres Isaksson of Citeh and Sweden. Extreamly talented young goalkeeper. Roght size, right ability, right age, wrong club icon_frown.gif

Or else Timo Hildebrand of Stuttgart, although he's about to transfer to HSV IIRC.
