Vidic, Heinze and Neville have WC injuries, Saha, Ronaldo and Silvestre aren't fit yet, Rio injured his ankle in the warmup in Amsterdam, O'Shea injured himself and got a dead leg, so should recover, Carrick injured his ankle, Rooney and Scholes were sent off and Pique has gone on loan. So we're looking at a back four of Evra - O'Shea - Wes - Bardsley.

Hugely promising. Not sure he was originally considered a serious contender to break through even after doing well in our reserves, but went on loan to Antwerp last season and won their player of the year award, and has come back this pre-season and been quality.

He's not the most lightning quick winger you'll find but he's very tricky, loves to run at people and his crossing is probably his best asset. Prepared to do his share of tracking back etc as well. Look after him

i wish fergie had decided he wanted hargreaves when we still had ruud, then we would have more of a leverage in the deal. we could have swapped ruud for OH (although that does sound a terrible deal, but not when ruud went for 10.3m anyway).

so we would have had a midfielder and real wouldnt have got an awesome striker.

instead, real have an awesome striker and we are having to spend 13-15m on hargreves probably.

Difference with Vidic and Carrick is the "settling" as well, Carrick had played in England for several seasons, one of the reasons you pay the over-priced fees is you get a player "proven" in that league/country, etc is it not
