Not giving O'Shea the assist for Gabby's opener? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

hmm, not sure. i'll go with the general consensus, but from memory the ball kinda ricocheted around and broke to Gaby </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Well JOS went past his man, slid it into the area towards our players, Richardson conspired to miss it when put under pressure, went under him and the defender marking him, came to Gabby on the edge, the player of the round fecks up and goal.

I'd give it to him if only because it had shades of "when johnny goes marching down the wing...", but if others disagree fair enough.

Didn't watch the HT analysis because of Ian Wright/Shearer being so **** so didn't see/hear the abuse, did he do 5 times on the broadcast?

I can imagine Shearer or Wright rambling on and Hansen sitting there slyly glancing round out the window, holding up a clenched fist and then extending his fingers to taunt them back.

Fair play to him either way.

After a lengthy courtship, United have secured an agreement to sign both players from Fluminese after they reach their 18th birthday in July, a deal helped by an unofficial partnership struck between the clubs in 2005. Ronaldo is reported to have encouraged them to sign for United, telling them that it is “a tremendous club and a wonderful place to play footballâ€. They, like Ferguson, will hope he is as good as his word. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

interesting. mon them being better than Kleberson (cue jonny).

can't help thinking 'brazilian twins' sounds like some kind of waxing-based porno

more on the brazilians:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Under-17 Brazilian internationals twins Fábio Silva and Rafael Silva will fly to Manchester next July to sigh professional with the Red Devils. Portuguese Manchester United Supporters Club has confirmed that both players will join Paul Mcguinness Under-17 team on July 9th after they complete 18 years old. Manchester United stuck a deal with Brazilian club Fluminense back in 2005, after both players impressed at Nike Cup in Hong Kong. Les Kershaw had agree for United a four years partnership with Fluminense like the ones already made with Sporting Lisbon in Portugal or Royal Antwerp in Belgium. Portuguese super star Cristiano Ronaldo made is part on the job talking with the twins to join United:

“When we were negotiating, Cristiano Ronaldo phone us saying that Manchester United were a tremendous club and a wonderful place to play footballâ€, Rafael reply to Brazilian newspaper. Fábio (Left Back) and Rafael (Left Right) has already visit Carrington Training Center last year where they join a training session together with Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo: “We were there to be familiar with the club and we made part of a friendly match. We play with Rooney and Ronaldo. It was a friendly game with five professionals for one side and another five amateurs for another. They were very kind with usâ€, Fábio replies. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Keanooooooo on Jonny Evans:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">“He’s a clever lad, who could play well anywhere. Sometimes he goes into midfield during training and he holds his own there. We know deep down he’ll be going back to United and I wouldn’t be surprised if he went on to become a top player there. He’s that good.†</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

and something that might be of interest to the Londoners in here:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">from Arsenal's website

'Arsenal and Manchester United will go head to head for a place in the FA Youth Cup Final.

Steve Bould's side earned their spot in the last four with a 3-2 victory over Cardiff City on Monday night and United joined their old rivals in the Semi Finals after beating Birmingham City 2-0 on Wednesday.

The mouthwatering two-legged clash kicks off at Emirates Stadium with the return leg scheduled to take place at Old Trafford. The first leg will take place as below:

Arsenal v Manchester United

seems to be plenty of united fans going, would be good to get a decent crowd down there. quite tempted myself, probably the only realistic chance of seeing United at the Emirates any time soon

Can anyone do me a quick summary as I missed the entire match due to crappy public transport. Gathered the first 6 minutes were quite exciting though.

P.S. alilaw is quite possibly the biggest legend that has ever lived seeing as though he gave me amazing advice that helped me get a job today icon_cool.gif

2 mins: mazy O'Shea run down the right flank, he cuts into the box, pulls it back, Richardson thankfully miskicks and the ball runs to Gaby just outside the box who strikes it first-time, quite well but it basically goes through the keeper, 1-0

4 mins: long ball from Rio is taken by Saha on his chest, sending him away from goal inside the left end of the box from where he unleashes a first-time shot across Federici into the far corner. very very good from Louis, rubbish keeping again though, 2-0

6 mins: Richardson picks out Ole on the right who has beaten the offside trap with quite ludicrous ease and is in literally acres of space. the great man advances, assesses his options and then from a tight angle impudently beats the keeper with the outside of his right foot, into the far corner, classic OGS finish, 3-0

more chances for us to make it 4/5 in the next ten minutes or so, then we start to go off the ball, and Reading pull one back on 22-ish minutes when a corner is headed on and Rio completely loses Kitson, who nods home at the far post with ease.

Reading probably the better side the rest of the half, although we still looked dangerous on the counter. second half starts similarly, Richardson wastes numerous promising positions, then Reading start to threaten, we become incredibly sloppy and forget how to pass/clear/do anything really. VDS makes a couple of excellent saves and we make it to 80 minutes unscathed, somehow, but then O'Shea loses Lita who impressively heads in a right-wing cross and sets up the clichéd 'grandstand finish', the 'highlight' of which is a Gunnarson screamer from the inside left position which rattles the crossbar in injury time with VDS beaten. mongfest ensues.

but i mean you can get tickets easier than me. I only have one other United mate who's willing to travel with me, even to OT.

I'm jealous of any Manc, but wasn't last night. Talking to a few at half time and they weren't getting home til 4/5am this morning and then had to work icon14.gif

Audit at KPMG. As Alilaw had gone through the process himself and knew a little bit about the workings of the graduate recruitment scheme he gave me a few pointers on what to do. Pretty invaluable advice as it appeared they hadn't changed their assessment day one bit from when he did it.

So Fergie says today he wants to stay for at least 2 more years, anyone have a problem with that given the lack of alternatives? Or are there still people who want him to win the league and then bow out?

tbh I'm not sure. This team could feasibly play together for one more season, maybe two more without Giggs and maybe Neville ofc.

Would be awesome to see Ferguson stay on for another couple of years and add a couple more trophies to the cabinet. However what are the chances that the next couple of years become like the last few where the legend that is Ferguson starts to get diminished?

Too kind theis, too kind.

If only I could apply similar invaluable advice to myself icon_frown.gif

RE: Fergie, I'd still back the 'win the league then bow out' camp. It's still going to be so difficult to compete with Chelsea, our squad is severly deficient in several areas and several integral members of our first team are the wrong side of 30. I'd rather a new man come in now to shape the team over the inevitable transition period, rather than Fergie bring in his own players only to leave a year or two down the line.
