OHHH WANKY WANKY, WANKY WANKY WANKY WANKY WANDERERS

was quite worried about today. ace to be able to stop worrying and enjoy the game so early. Ronaldo just godly atm, looked like he did brilliantly for the first goal, the second goal was just a stunning stunning counter attack, looked like jaaskelainen made a mess of the third but wp ji for following in. never really troubled defensively, vida and gaby were ace, rio's distribution was atrocious although the bout of keepy-uppy with wes at the end was brilliant. carrick had a really good game, jos was so-so after a pitiful start, park did very well and took his goals surprisingly coolly, giggsy did alright in his more advanced role and rooooooooneh was back something near his best. richardson typically pap when he came on, shame he didn't get sent off really. smudge did well.

atmosphere was surprisingly good for a 12.45ko, that old title-chasing feeling is well and truly back. only one rendition of the cringeworthy stand up and support your team, not many scouse songs, plenty of proper united songs. bolton were gash, from the cheering of nev's injury to the aeroplane gestures at 3-0 down to the easeh chant after their consolation. still, i'm sure they'll console themselves by shagging a relative or two tonight.

only negative atmosphere-wise was a cockney woman behind me clearly at her first ever match. 50/60-odd, but spent the whole game shouting 'come on rooney! i love you ronaldo!' like a lovesick schoolgirl and embarrassing her son spectacularly. highlights included 'why are they playing up the other end?' whenever the action was down towards the scoreboard, 'ooh, i thought he was a foreigner' when told Wes was english, singing 'walking in a fergus wonderland' and claiming she knew the name of the Bolton manager, only to tell everyone it was Stan Dice. if i'd been drunk i'd have probably found it funnier i suppose. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

i suspect the black armbands were for tommy cavanagh (assistant to tommy docherty when we won the cup in '77) who died a couple of days ago.

the big flag with RIP on it that someone alluded to earlier i think may have been for 'Big John' Wroe. very well-known Red, part of IMUSA and SU etc, passed away a week or so ago.

He had no family left so IMUSA paid for his funeral. One of the best things i have ever heard made me proud to be a red

You remember at school, when you were bored during class and you'd carefully stick a bit of paper on a classmate, being ever so careful to not draw their attention but still just touching them?

remember when mr. wiley would look up from his desk and award your mate a meaningless penalty so the ****wit commentator can jizz himself at an opportunity to spout about getting a penalty at old trafford?

like that

Yes but i read back when we had the Chelsea game in the league cup semi-final that the free-kick that Duff scored directly was actually an indirect free-kick and nobody from United complained about it.

You think it's somehow down to the ref's opinion as to whether someone will shoot or not as to whether it's an indirect free kick? It either is or it isn't depending on the offence, which end of the pitch it happens is immaterial.

come on Hargs

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Owen Hargreaves claims Manchester United are the only club for him after the Old Trafford club's covetous pursuit of the Bayern Munich midfielder.

United first moved for Hargreaves in the wake of the player's impressive performances for England at last summer's World Cup but their enquiries were rebuffed by Bayern.

Despite receiving little encouragement and a lot of hostility from the German giants, Sir Alex Ferguson has never hid his admiration for Hargreaves - a stance that has not gone unnoticed by the player.

Reports claim United will again test Bayern's resolve in the summer and Hargreaves, who has been laid low for much of this season with a broken leg, admits a move to the Premiership would be a dream.

"United are the only team I want to join," he told the News of the World.

"They have invested so much time and energy in me.

"It's very rare to see a transfer drag on like this.

"A football team is a puzzle with different pieces and and you need to find the right pieces and the right mix.

"United believe I am the final piece in their puzzle and that is an honour for me."

Hargreaves admits his open desire to play for Manchester United has put him at loggerheads with Bayern.

"It has been a difficult political situation. My position is very different and I couldn't compare it to any other player," said Hargreaves.

"It is not as though I am chasing money in Greece or Spain. There is a reason for me wanting to join United - I play for England and my family are from the north west.

"I love Bayern Munich. I have grown up in Germany but I'm the only England player never to have played in England and Manchester United want to take me home."

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> DIMITAR BERBATOV will be a target for Manchester United if the striker fails to agree a new deal with Tottenham.

The Bulgarian is trying to renegotiate his contract with Spurs and that will alert the attention of Alex Ferguson.

Berbatov is looking to at least double his current £22,000-a-week agreed when he signed a four-year deal last summer.

Resist

Spurs have slapped an inflated £40million price tag on his head.

But United would test Spurs' resolve with a summer bid in the region of £25m.

Despite United's success this season, Fergie knows he has to recruit a top-class forward — and 19-goal Berbatov fits the bill.

Yet Spurs boss Martin Jol insisted: "Dimitar could play for anyone in Europe but we are an ambitious club so why should we sell one of our best players?"

But only last year the Spurs board could not resist an £18.6m bid for Michael Carrick. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Mon, would cost us like 30billion but still
