Nick OGS20
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Ronny is Evra so good 11/ 4/2007 PATRICE Evra thinks Cristiano Ronaldo is so good it's a joke. The pair were both on the scoresheet on Tuesday night as Manchester United recorded their stunning 7-1 win over Roma at Old Trafford. But while Evra celebrated the first appearance of his career at right-back by completing the rout late on, it was Ronaldo who once again proved to be totally unstoppable. He may have been ably assisted by fellow two-goal hero Michael Carrick, plus striking duo Wayne Rooney and Alan Smith, who were both outstanding, but Ronaldo was a clear man-of-the-match winner. His performance hardly came as a surprise to Evra, who in training at least has been trying - and failing - to find a way of stopping Ronaldo for over 12 months now since his arrival from Monaco. "Nobody can stop him," laughed the France full-back. "Probably the only way to do it is to kill him. Kicking "I have never seen anyone like him before in my life. When he runs at you, you try to grab his shirt or do whatever you can. But he just goes past you, makes fun out of you and leaves you kicking the air. "I see him every day in training. I watch what he can do and I think 'Cristiano, no. It is a joke'." Evra is happy to join a long line emerging from Old Trafford happy to declare the Portugal winger the best player in the world. Sir Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney are both convinced and it would appear his only rival for all the major individual prizes this season is Chelsea's Didier Drogba. Yet Evra claims Ronaldo is only getting his just reward for his insatiable appetite for hard work. The many crowd-pleasing tricks he produces are, it appears, rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed. "He does them all the time," said the 25-year-old Senegal-born star. "Even when he is sitting on a bike Cristiano is doing tricks. He eats with the ball, he watches TV with the ball. He probably even sleeps with the ball. "I am not surprised at what he does. You should see how hard he works in training. "He is very professional, always the first one in and the last one out. We all have a lot of confidence in him. "Sometimes, you just give him the ball because you know the defenders are scared of him. "I am very happy to have him on my team because, for me, he is the best player in the world." Evra could not help but chuckle at his own contribution to United's triumph, their biggest in Europe since 1968, which sent shockwaves throughout Europe. Frustrating Having spent a frustrating month trying to recover from a knee injury suffered in the Premiership win over Liverpool at Anfield, Evra was happy just to be on the bench. And when the call eventually came from Sir Alex Ferguson for his £5million signing to replace John O'Shea, he thought his manager was having a laugh. "I have never played right-back in my life," he said. "When the manager told me, I thought it was a joke. To come on and score was unbelievable. "My fitness is not the best still but I am happy to be involved and hopefully I can stay away from more injuries because we have a lot of big matches to play." Having lost the 2004 final to Jose Mourinho's Porto while he was still at Monaco, Evra has more reason than most to crave a third United victory in the competition. Before Ferguson's side start thinking about the semi-final though, they have the small matter of a trip to Villa Park and an encounter with Watford for a place in the FA Cup final. Given the Hornets have already lost by four goals to United this season, a chill must have shuddered down Adrian Boothroyd's back on Tuesday night as he watched events unfold. "I was sure we would win - but not 7-1," admitted Evra. "A similar thing happened once before when I was at Monaco and we beat Deportivo La Coruna. "After 20 minutes, when we were three goals ahead, I had to ask one of my team-mates to pinch me. It just felt like a dream." </div></BLOCKQUOTE> paddy <

SLO_Fila
I don't think Milan will be as bad as Roma though. And the game itself. Bleah. Milan have played like they did for the past 5 years. Completely uninspiring, getting a goal and defending throughout. It can either go completely wrong against Milan or completely in the right direction. I don't know, i think the team is capable of horsing them, Maldini and Nesta aren't young but it really depends on how much Rio and Brown can cope with the cheating Inzaghi.
