Bring back super Phil Neville as midfield destroyer!!

As much as I'd love to believe the Glazers are going to finance 3 big signings this summer, I know its highly unlikely. they said 2 midfielders last summer, we got one and a goalkeeper who can't catch.

We need Hargreaves/similar type of player, a striker who isn't always injured and a winger to cover/eventually replace Giggs. Really like us to get Hargreaves and Berbatov, but can't see either happening tbh.

We will probably get one of our so called 'targets' and then in August before the window shuts we will make a 'bid' for a player like we did with Hargreaves last summer, a token gesture to try and prove to the fans that we still want to buy the players necessary to improve the team.

Very cynical I know, but am now resigned to it unfortunately.

I think we'll get Hargreaves, however I think that will be offset by sales - Silvestre, Saha, Richardson, Heinze.

On that point, Nick you may need to do something about the Glazers on FM, they've given me £182m to spend in 3 seasons.

and it seems Sporting have renegotiated Nani's contract and bumped his release clause up to €30m, which makes him look less likely to be joining us. winger absolutely key for me, hope we have other irons in the fire.

What type of season has that Villareal midfielder that United "nearly" signed been having?

I'd love a couple of unexpected signings who come good really, like Vidic and Evra. It's more exciting in a way when they're not already household names or players who have been linked with United for ages.

the bit that got me was Nev and Paddy about halfway through (although for a second it looked like Gary was gonna plant a smacker on poor unsuspecting Patrice). just such obviously awesome team spirit in the squad right now.
