backpackant
Maybe your wages are too high at the moment. There is no option on FM to offer to take a pay cut. I once tried to reduce my club's wage bill by negotiating a LOWER wage (since the money you earn really doesn't matter in FM) but they wouldn't let me. I ended up on £120,000 per week. trekman
They were most likely worried about the wages. If you really want to manage a lower league club then you'll probably have to either restart your game or resign from your current team although I'm not sure if that will help because your reputation will still be quite high if you've been successful. jod123
It is not the wages. It is the compensation that they will have to pay your former club. Lower league clubs won't be able to pay the few million necessary to terminate your current contract.
Eles Gergo
i think the compensation is very high almost the amount that is left of your contract and they could'nt afford you to pay your wages nor to give you enough money for transfers or wages thinking you would require more then theire capacity
jod123
Well they couldn't afford to pay your wages either but I still think that they will offer you a smaller contract and let it be up to you to decide to accept the lower wages. The reason they don't offer a manager who is currently employed by a top club the job is because the compensation would be too much to pay to the club.
