JD nawrat
Shame for Geiger really, cos there has been a lack of even half decent refs this WC, some of the reffing has been appalling, I completely agree. I think that Geiger could still be in with a shout - they took 13 referees for the knockout stages, which contains 16 games. Meaning only a couple of referees will get two games, most will get one each. Geiger had a Last 16 game (France/Nigeria) meaning that it's entirely possible that his second game will be in the final. He's definitely going to referee one of the last 4 games I imagine...
boots
Marco Rodriguez of Mexico gets the Brazil-Germany match. Mark Geiger is fourth official. They both missed Luis Suarez biting Giorgio Chiellini.
Astafjevs
No idea how he's managed to get another game. I agree with the card he gave Marchisio, but his overall performance was awful
PMLF
There are rumors that Velasco (who officiated Brazil-Colombia) has a good chance of officiating the final too.
LokedOut420
so since geiger is 4th official does that mean he isn't getting another game as a ref? ****ing ludicrous if so.
boots
Apparently Kuipers isn't around for the final few matches? Awful decision if true. Second semi-final will be handled by Cüneyt Çakır. I like Rizzoli for the final, maybe Irmatov if they want to go non-UEFA. Ricci if Brazil isn't there. Guaranteed FIFA goes with Velasco Carballo though. PMLF
I doubt Ricci could be chosen if Brazil doesn't reach the final, same with any referee from the semifinalists.
Pangaea
There are rumors that Velasco (who officiated Brazil-Colombia) has a good chance of officiating the final too. I suppose the upside to that is that if Brazil make the final we can save ourselves a couple hours of watching football.
georginho_juventusygr
Haimoudi is for the third-place playoff. Rizzoli or Irmatov for the final?

buffalo
seems the Italians are always great referees ... maybe cause in the Serie A they try every trick in the book and they know how to manage these kind of players?
