Jimbokav1971
So there seem to be a few of us who have a son in the game now. Rather than each creating a new thread in GQ, (and the interest of each thread being diluted by the next one that comes along), my suggestion is that we keep it all in 1 thread in here. (I would have had it in GQ but I don't think they would wear it). In terms of what is posted and when, it is completely up to the poster, but my suggestion is that at the very least we treat it like the Neppo Youth Player Project in that a pic should be posted when the player is promoted from the Academy, and then a subsequent update given at the end of each season. There is nothing to stop more regular updates at all. The only difference of course is that this thread is only for players who have the Manager listed as Father. What I plan on doing is something like this. 1. Overview - Profile upon promotion from Academy. 2. Overview - Info - Personal info upon promotion from Academy. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities upon promotion from Academy. 4. Report - Coach Report upon promotion from Academy. Then at the end of each season I would post the following. 1. Overview - Profile. 2. Overview - Info - Personal info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. 4. Report - Coach Report 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). 6. Reports - Stats. Of course there could be posts within any season detailing goals scored in big matches or achievements and the like. Details of tutoring would be helpful. Not so much a pic of the tutor, but more a description of what sort of player is tutoring him and why.
Jimbokav1971
Daniele O'Kav (SMR/ITA) produced by San Marino in 2028. 1. Overview - Profile upon promotion from Academy. So he looks average I suppose, (but who cares right?) The 3 attributes that stand out are Fitness, Bravery and Determination. That's pretty good actually. Fitness will hopefully mean that he will play a lot of games without getting injured. Determination is always good and Bravery... well there seems to be an issue with Bravery in newgens so maybe this will give him an advantage. 2. Overview - Info - Personal info upon promotion from Academy. His personality is Fairly Determined which isn't great, but it's not a disaster either. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities upon promotion from Academy. So he gets his Sammarinese nationality from me. Was born in Italy so gets that too, but my 2nd nationality of Welsh is not carried over. He is Welsh-speaking though so at least that has been passed on. (I'm not even really Welsh by the way). 4. Report - Coach Report upon promotion from Academy. He only has the PA to be a "good Serie B player". That's not going to be enough for my San Marino club side, but I am sure that he will certainly feature at some point for the NT. It's not good that his hidden consistency attribute is poor, but c'est la vie.
Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 1st part season (2028), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. So there doesn't seem to be much change, but then again it's only been a couple of months and not a full season. You can see that he has made his Serie A debut and International debut, (both from the bench). His value has also risen from £105k to £185k. 2. Overview - Info - Personal info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. This shows that his International debut was against Georgia, but unfortunately it was only a friendly so he is still avalable for selection by Italy, (but there is no chance of that). 4. Report - Coach Report This just confirms what I already knew. The coaching staff do not think he is good enough for the club, (currently only a decent Serie C1 player), and will probably never be good enough, (PA is only that of a good Serie B striker). 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). This shows that although he didn't score in his Serie A, European or International debut, he did at least manage an assist against Marseille in the EURO Cup. 6. Reports - Stats. For some reason the stats only show Serie A and U19 stats. That's a shame. I have never noticed this before but there seems no way to change it. Very strange. Summary. So he has made his Serie A, European and International debuts without scoring.
Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 1st full season (2029), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. So he has scored his 1st league goal but isn't exactly setting the World alight. His Determination has dropped down to 15, (but there is a reason for that). 2. Overview - Info - Personal info. His personality is now Resolute. (Brilliant), as a result of him being tutored by Muller (Ger), who is now on his favoured personnel list. Considering this is going back a couple of years, I had missed that he was ever "could be the next" anyone. Marco Macina is not "clickable", so I am guessing that he is an historic player that I have never heard of, (but will investigate that in a bit). 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. He has made his competitive debut for San Marino so is no longer eligible for Italy. (Good). As well as 4 Senior Caps, he has also collected 2 U21 caps. 4. Report - Coach Report His PA has improved according to my Ass Man. It used to be "good Serie B Striker" and is now "leading Serie B striker". It's only a small improvement, but it all helps as they say. 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). He has scored his 1st Serie A goal at least so now I can relax. 6. Reports - Stats. He wasn't exactly prolific for the U19's either, (although I do delegate responsibility for the Reserve and U19 Squads). Summary. Now my thinking with Daniele was that although it was brilliant that I had a son in the game, I wasn't going to make him the centre of my save as I have already invested too much time into it. Yes it would be great to follow his exploits, (or lack thereof), but I really didn't think he was good enough to be much more than a back up player for the National side until some more quality came along. He certainly doesn't compare to the better Sammarinese players that I have produced. Despite that, (and looking back now from June 2031), he is perhaps a little better than I have given him credit for. It had completely passed me by that he "could be the next" anyone, and to my shame I have never heard of Marco Macina. Wow. For a start I was under the impression that there were no Sammarinese players in the database who could be used as a template for "could be the next". This is mental! This guy was good. It's just a shame that after getting Italian U16 caps, he left it so long before agreeing to represent San Marino at NT level. I decided tutor Daniele with a Resolute AMC because I didn't have suitable strikers and the best one's that were available were needed to tutor others. (Daniele really is down the pecking order despite the family link). No nepotism here at all. In hindsight, despite his limited PA I regret not giving him more playing time now. Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 2nd full season (2030), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview Profile. He now has his first INT goal for San Marino. He is developing, (albeit slowly). 2. Overview - Info - Personal Info. The Marco Macina link is no longer there. I wonder what caused it to be removed? He's not any taller, (still 5'10"), but he has put on a couple of lbs, (now weighing 11st 6lbs), so maybe that's it. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. You can see that he scored against Faroe Islands in March. 4. Report - Coach Report. He's dropped back again in terms of PA. Last year it was listed as leading Serie B. Now it's back to good Serie B. I've also noticed that his ability to play in the AMC position has now improved and it's now at accomplished. He's not happy at all, (I've been rubbish and have really neglected my own son). He's also more suited to playing as a TM. Well that's just not going to happen because TM clashes with AP in that they both want to inhabit the same areas. If that's still the case now, (I'm in 2031), I will have to look at that. 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). That's just rubbish. A paltry 2 sub appearances for the club side. He played more for the NT than he did for the club. I'm such a rubbish manager! 6. Reports - Stats. Well there can't be much to see here because he hardly played. He even hardly played for the U19's. meh! Summary. This season was an absolute disaster. There is no other word for it. I just completely ignored him and instead concentrated on securing San Marino's 1st Seria A title. I'm really not happy that I have let him stagnate so much. Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 3rd full season (2031), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. He was now HG registered at club and rather than him wallowing in the Reserves and stagnating I thought it best that I might as well send him somewhere on loan so that he might actually have chance a chance of playing some football. Pisa might only be in Serie C1/B, but at least he played quite regularly for them. Although he played for them, he barely developed at all and in fact his finishing dropped from 13 to 12. 2. Overview - Info - Personal info. He was played at MR during his time at Pisa so he is now unconvincing in that area. He has at least changed sufficiently so that AF is his preferred role. The only positive thing to come from this whole season was that he now has the ppm "shoots with power". That was a conscious decision by me and I hope it proves fruitful. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. He scored his 2nd International goal. 4. Report - Coach Report. There is no coach report available because he is on loan at Pisa. 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). I'm not too upset with his performances actually. He scored 6 goals and 3 assists from 15(15) appearances but as we know from the Info screen he often played at MR, (and seemed to perform better there). 6. Reports - Stats. Summary. Well sending him on loan meant that he played games, but this should be an example of what NOT to do as he really stagnated in terms of his attributes. (His finishing actually dropped 1 point and only a very few attributes improved at all). Sending him out on loan wasn't the cause of the problem. Sending him out on loan to Pisa who play in Serie C1/B, (they lost in the Playoff Semi's by the way), is the cause of the problem. As well as being a boring team who rely largely on clean sheets, (keeping 23 over the course of the season, love them already!), their training facilities are obviously not as good as ours, (although not rubbish), but the big difference will be in the standard of coaching. Ah well. A lesson learned and all that. Next season he can't go to a lowly club like Pisa. He must either go to a club at a decent level or just stay at home. If he stays at home I must play him. Jimbokav1971
smp20. I am over my bandwith for this month, (too many views because of a World Cup thread in T&TGF). Pics will be viewable again tomorrow again, (I think). Your son looks amazing. Great mix of attributes and I love that he is a centre-half rather than a striker. Would love to see some more pics of him, What does the scout report say? What Nationality is he? Get that personality fixed pronto! lol
smp20
Ah I had a similar problem with Photobucket, but moved to imgurl as they don't have limits. I've played until July 2020 now (a year and 3 months after he was generated) and this is what he looks like: An excellent season of development - I've been heavily training his quickness. He's played in every game he's been available for - he missed 3 through suspension (5,7,9 rule in Holland). Although his ratings aren't amazing, neither are the whole team as it's our first season in the Eredivisie. I'm doing a youth only challenge and unfortunately do not have a suitable tutor, but he's been developing well enough without it . Also I've had big bids from Chelsea and Liverpool, which is a very promising sign!
Jimbokav1971
Daniele O'Kav (SMR/ITA) produced by San Marino in 2028. So at the end of his 4th full season (2032), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. I belatedly decided that he had to play. There was no point in him just stagnating at home. He may not be good, but lets make him the best he can be at least. As a result he was sent on loan to Celtic in Scottish Premiership. 2. Overview - Info - Personal Info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. 4. Report - Coach Report. It looks like there is a little more development in him, but if I am honest i am struggling to see it. He's not rubbish, but I struggle to see him playing for the club side. 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). (San Marino). 5. History - Career Stats (with the just completed season highlighted). (Celtic). 6. Reports - Stats. It's a shame but his Celtic stats do not appear here for obvious reasons. Summary. He still didn't really develop despite being at a decent club with decent facilities, and playing regularly in both the League and Europe. Although he had previously received Runners Up medals, the only competition he had won until this season had been the 2029 U19's Cup. That changes this season as he won the Italian Super Cup, the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup. He missed out on the treble as Runners Up in the Scottish League cup. 10 goals sounds like quite a modest return but when he made 9(33) appearances maybe it's not quite so shabby as 42 appearances suggest. I would like to think that he is going to be good enough to start for a team like Celtic and go on and win more trophies, but if I'm honest i'm not sure he is going to be good enough. A modest improvement in key areas might make all the difference. At the moment I am thinking that one of the top Scandinavian leagues might be the best that he could hope for. Norway, Denmark or even possibly Switzerland or Austria. I have the Croatin league loaded and Hajduk is a feeder club so that's a possibility, (if Celtic isn't going to be an issue again). I suppose I would like to get him to learn a few languages so maybe that's an option to consider too. The Balkans is probably the best option for that, (and I have both Croatian and Serbian feeders). smp20
Had a good look through the screen shots now. Its a shame that your at a level with your club now where a good/leading serie B potential player is not enough, but he's still a good player for the national team no doubt. He's been developing reasonably well but he does need games under his belt. I'd suggest offering him out to clubs on loan rather than sending to feeders as then you will be more sure as to whether he is going to get first team action. I would have also been heavily working on his Quickness to get him to a level where he could become a threat, maybe as a bench player for your team in the future. Best of luck I guess I am lucky that my guy had first team potential. Although he wasn't quite ready for it at 15/16 as of his 3rd full Eredivisie season he's made 100 Eredivisie appearances all before the age of 19. Due to the amount of games he's been playing his development has been magnificent. Maybe too much so, he wants to leave for a bigger club. I will provide screen shots of his 4th full season, as I am now well into that season and forgot to screen shot at the end of last year.

Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 5th full season (2033), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. 2. Overview - Info - Personal Info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. 4. Report - Coach Report. 5. History - Career Stats, (with the just completed Season highlighted). (San Marino). 5. History - Career Stats, (with the just completed Season highlighted). (Celtic). 6. Reports - Stats. Summary. Not only has he not developed, he has actually taken an attribute point step back in dribbling. He may have done the domestic double with Celtic for 2 consecutive seasons now, but he is still a bit of a bit-part player there and with the squad they have it is not really a surprise. It looks like he was never even registered for European competition this season so he never even had a chance of featuring there. I think the plan for next season will be to lend him to a lower quality club where he will have an opportunity to actually start more games.
Jimbokav1971
So at the end of his 6th full season (2034), this is what he looks like. 1. Overview - Profile. 2. Overview - Info - Personal Info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. 4. Report - Coach Report. 5. History - Career Stats. (with just the completed season highlighted). (San Marino). 5. History - Career Stats. (with just the completed season highlighted). (Zulte Waregem, Belgium). 6. Reports - Stats. Summary. What an absolute disaster this season was. I had arranged to send him on loan to Belgian side Zulte Waregem, only for him to get injured just before the start of the season, (so I recalled him). It was actually a serious injury as he suffered a lower back stress fracture and even when he recovered he seemed beset by injuries this year. The plan for next season is probably to send him back to Belgium again. I'm hoping that it might be a level he can really do well at, (especially as the club were relegated last season). Wherever he goes he has to play, and in addition to that I am keen for him to learn another language. It looks like he isn't going to be much of a footballer, so he will need something to fall back on after he retires. Injuries. For someone who had previously not really had much of a problem with injuries, this was a bit of a shock to the system. Development - Training. I was worried that he might be injury-prone, but other than the obvious injuries there is no sign of that, (indeed this report suggests that he looks after himself very well. Jimbokav1971
1. Overview - Profile. 2. Overview - Info - Personal Info. 3. Overview - Info - Nationalities. 4. Report - Coach Report. 5. History - Career Stats. (with just the completed season highlighted). (San Marino). 5. History - Career Stats. (with just the completed season highlighted). (Zulte Waregem, Belgium). 6. Reports - Stats. Summary. A brilliant reversal in fortunes as Jr dropped down from the Belgian Pro League where he played last season, and certainly found his level in the Second League in Belgium. He was the top goal-scorer in the league, had the most MOM awards in the league, and had the 2nd highest average rating in the league. His 22 league goals, (and 4 Cup goals), were scored at quite a regular rate and I would describe him as consistant rather than prolific. He just seemed to keep playing and keep scoring and I think I'm correct in saying that he only managed 1 hat-trick. In one single season, (at the age of 23, he more than doubled his career league goal-tally). He also added another 8 INT appearances and 1 INT goal, meaning that he now has 36 Caps and 5 Senior INT goals. He is most often played wide-right or in the hole for the NT, so his scoring record is actually better than it might appear at first glance, (especially as you have to remember that he is playing for San Marino after all).
