auduron
So to first start with the obvious. As we negotiate contracts with players, squad status is an option. This allows higher wages to be set, and of course, depending on the player, they may not agree to a contract as a Backup. Now after I sign a player as a Key Player, I am then able to go and change his squad status at will - to First Team, Rotation, Backup. What exactly is the implication around changing their status? To start - I understand that if I drop them from Key Player to Backup, they may complain - but what about Key Player - First Team? What about their expectations regarding play time? Is this based on their current team status, or the status what was agreed upon during the contract? So if I do drop someone from Key Player to Backup, are they still expecting to start 90% of the games due to the Key Player status during the contract negotiation? Thanks in advance. isignedupfornorealreason
They'll whinge I'm sure. Generally Backups apparently want at least 10+ games a season. TBH I think in FM14 it's not set properly, I have youth players asking to be backup or rotation options when they should be smart enough to know they're hot prospects only.
