EricPye28
So I'm in 2018, and I just noticed that the German team didn't take any players from their country, choosing to go with blank players instead. I have Germany as a playable league, so that must be a glitch, right?
Cougar2010
Nope its a legal issue. SI don't have the rights to use real players in the German national team. If you search google there is a workaround but you need to do it before starting a save I believe.
tomtuck01
No license for the Germa national team. Can't discuss on here.

Gandy
I saw the title of this thread, and knew immediately that it was Germany related. Once the regens are good enough, they'll start appearing in the National Team.
mchbitil
I wonder if the fact that http://footballmanager.com/ says "Not open to entry to people resident in Germany" is related. Is it so tough to make a deal with DFB? Is it a money question or not?

Lawlore
EA have the exclusive license from the DFB to use the names and likenesses. Most FAs don't have exclusive licenses, but the odd few do and it means only one company can use that information officially. Likewise Konami and Japan. And while FIFA Manager is dead, EA could probably still bring out a DFB-licensed Sims 4 expansion pack. Not that anyone in their right mind would've bought Sims 4, but that's beside the point.
