PaulHartman71
Pau FC - Season 14: 2028/29 Ligue 1 Another season of 5th place in the league which isn't great but we have got into Europe as a result of winning both the French Cup and the Coupe de la Ligue. We got lucky to avoid PSG in both competitions and the draws we got in most rounds were actually very good so it's no surprise we won really. Transfers Another quiet year - I first got in Angel Perez as a 4th choice striker but he ended up being so good he became 1st choice striker eclipsing even Vincent Jardin. Robert Watson left for 10M to Fenerbache in January - much needed money despite him being a talented player and good part of our team. Not irreplaceable though. Squad pt 1, Squad pt 2 Another excellent season from Carlos Soria at CB. Robert Watson did well at CM/CAM until he was sold in January. Bram de Gruyter did well at CAM. Vincent Jardin had a decent season - a further dip from last season though and doesn't look like he's gonna relive his excellent form of his first few seasons back at the club. Angel Perez was the real star of the season though - 30 goals in 42 games for the guy I signed as a 4th choice striker! Finances Looks a bit better than last year but wont look that healthy long term until we reach the Champions League - finances are made to look a lot better as a result of selling Robert Watson for £10M. I'm hoping I can get some money to spend in the summer as we don't have too much quality in depth which will cost us when we're in the Europa League again next season. Romanista1994
Paul - Congrats on the cup double! Should also improve the club's reputation, which means attracting better players. Looks like breaking PSG's league dominance will be very tough, though. On another note, I asked the board to find a feeder club and they just came back with CSKA Moscow. Romanista1994
Season 15 Preseason Report Summer Transfer Window Transfers IN: Borracha and Donosor are two Brazilians offered to us by agents. Fuat Gündoğdu was supposed to join a year ago (that's when I agreed his Bosman transfer), but somehow only joined this year. The others are a backup left winger and two relatively young strikers. OUT: I sold several players who were getting on or hadn't performed/developed as well as I'd like. Most of their transfer fees were spread over 48 months, so we're now getting £500k+ on a monthly basis. Current First Eleven GK: Hakan Bülbül RB: Eşref Baran CB: Lorenzo Petit CB: Borracha - A great centreback, who was signed once he halved his wage demands. LB: Sahir Öner - Öner is an academy graduate who was brilliant out on loan last year and improved considerably. DM: Kenny Appleyard RM: João Donosor - Had to sign him when I saw his wage demands. He's currently being retrained as a right winger. CM: Orhan Çiçek CM: Mehmet Yavuz LM: Daniel López ST: Yiğit Konuk
Tecmo
2023/2024 Season Review And back down...I'm really not good at this game. League Table Better than our first run in the top flight but still not good enough. Goals dried up in the second half of the season and Turkish Cup games seemed to sap our strength as well. In retrospect I don't think I bolstered our midfield enough and that became our biggest problem. I tried pulling Dario Capan back to help it but that was part of why we stopped scoring. On the bright side, we had our best Turkish Cup yet, reaching the quarter final. We got a favorable draw that advanced us easily into the group stage. After winning our group, we knocked off Kayseri Erciyesspor 2-1 in extra time. The first leg of the quarter final took us to Kayserispor where we lost a hard fought game 0-1. At home we gave up a goal three minutes into the game but then tied it shortly after. A red card for Kayserispor in the 38th minute gave us hope but we just couldn't get another goal despite 12 shots on target for the match. Team Finances We're in good shape financially and the board still seems pretty pleased with me still despite relegation. We'll be getting more financial boosts from sales of players who are seeking transfers. I already sold our Egyptian striker, Mostafa Shaaban, to FC Red Bull Salzburg for 500K. He struggled in league play until the final third of the season but ended up with 12 league goals and 6 in the cup. May take a break from this career to play around in Northern Ireland or Switzerland, not sure yet. Will probably see how the offseason goes. I do still have several young players that I like that could use a season in League 1.
Romanista1994
Tecmo - Sad to see you go down again, hope you'll be back soon if you do decide to take a break from the save. In Batman news, İsmet Bolat just became our first player to be tagged as a Wonderkid, which I'm delighted about as he is a Batman-born academy graduate. He also just made his senior Turkey debut at the tender age of 18. I managed to sign him onto a 5-year contract, although his agent locked in a £8.75M release clause. Heck of a center back at 18, looks like someone to build a defense around. Leaning towards sticking it out for now, I have a couple players coming in that I'm really excited about it's looking like I'll be able to keep the players I like most, with the possible exception of Dario Capan. Hopefully I can kick the new season off tonight.

Tecmo
2024/2025 Season Preview Transfer History A busy offseason as we had to offload some of our expensive and foreign players. Shaaban of to FC Red Bull Salzburg, Gozlan and Yildiz to Kayseri Erciyesspor, my goalkeeper Saka to Dinamo in his homeland of Croatia, Halil Tuna and Dario Capan both loaned out so they could potentially return next season. Two new players coming in who I am particularly excited about. Dantinho is my new midfielder who I'm looking to help our attack. 22 year old Brazilian who we signed for only 96K from Sporting in Portugal. Should be a devastating player in League 1. The other is my new 20 year old Portuguese striker, Joao Meneses. Probably going to try to break him in slowly but he looks perfect for the false 9 role I want to start using. Planned starting 11 GK Tahir Aldemir - The 19 year old is getting his chance in the first team. I seem to like him more than my scouts but he just keeps producing for me. RB Huseyin Avcu - Now a grizzled veteran for us. CB Murat Buyukduvenci - Surprisingly didn't ask for a transfer, happy to have him back to anchor our defense. CB Islom Maxmudov - Uzbeki defender with the potential to be a good center back getting his chance in the first team. LB Jorge Silva - Last years Fans Player of the Year, we're happy to bring him back on loan from Leixoes for a second season. DM Kasif Mangu - Young defensive midfielder I acquired several seasons ago, finally getting his chance in the first team. Very high on him. DM Hakan Sivrikaya - One of last season's signings, held his own in the Super League but should be a really good deep lying playmaker at this level. AML Jaloliddin Muxitdinov - My other Uzbeki player, hoping he can produce as an inside forward. AMC Dantinho - Going to play a shadow striker, should be a major offensive threat. AMR Hayretting Sahin - Our newly named captain after being a backup for several seasons, gets a chance as a winger. ST Firat Sancar - Another long time backup getting his chance to start, should be a good false 9. Has to hold off Joao though. Can also move back to the shadow striker role if necessary. Should be an interesting season. I'm putting a lot of faith in youngsters moving into the first team, hopefully it will pan out.
Romanista1994
IOA - Seems like you had a similar season to mine, hopefully the lack of European games will help you in the league next season. Tecmo - Yeah, Bolat is one of a few players that could go on to be very good should they stay with us. Glad to see you continuing in Turkey, btw! Hope you bounce back again. In Batman news, another member of the old guard has left as Kemal Efe was sold to Giresunspor after making 370 appearances for the club with an average rating of 7.21. He was slowly getting less and less games (although still performing well) and I moved him on so that he could play a few more seasons at a high level, but also to allow the right wingers of the future to have the games they need to develop. PaulHartman71
Made some transfers. Had a bit of money to spend after the departure of Carlos Soria - didn't want to sell him as he was by far our best defender especially for only £10M to PSG but my chairman accepted the bid on my behalf due to poor finances and Soria was desperate to leave anyway. I managed to get a 50 percent next sale in so fingers crossed they end up selling him at some point. Alberto Rodriguez was signed to replace him for £2.7M - interestingly enough Alberto actually has 2 caps for Uruguay and Soria never got capped for Uruguay whilst he was with us so this could mean Alberto is better than him anyway. Got in a younger keeper for £1.5M in Jan Larsen from Molde which should be a bargain as he could be our number 1 for a long time. Guillermo Merlo joined from Tigre to potentially be a new starting CM - looks pretty good. Murphy Mandanda joined to be the new long term DM - he's already picked up a 5 month injury after breaking his foot so certainly wont be starting DM in the short term. Tristan Vincent joins as back-up/rotation CAM - and Jamil comes in to add more depth to CM.
PaulHartman71
Pau FC - Season 15: 2029/30 Ligue 1 Whilst finishing in 6th place ultimately looks like we've gone backwards it's not really the case. We have a decent amount of squad depth but not decent depth which made me quite hesitant to rotate that often, we also went on a fantastic run in the Europa League and the French Cup, reaching the final in both, which lead to us dropping so many points at the weekend after games in mid-week. There was numerous occasions where i'd have a league game on Saturday, cup game on Tuesday and then Europa League on Thursday then another league game on the Sunday which is ridiculous really and we dropped so many points because of it. Once we'd reached the French Cup final and Europa League for next year was confirmed I just kind of gave up/stopped caring about the league and just rested players so they'd be fit for the Europa League games and the Cup final, unfortunately we lost in both but was still a fantastic run in both competitions for us. We went out very early in the Coupe de la Ligue which was disappointing but it was to Monaco and we made up for it with the other two finals. PSG with that unbeaten season tho i've come so far in this challenge but the biggest hurdle will no doubt be toppling them. Took an early lead from a corner but PSG ultimately had too much in the end. Had a pretty easy run to the final with LEMANS FC being the most difficult but we weren't losing to them at home even if it did require extra time. Was disappointed that it required extra time to get past FC Sochaux who really aren't great and went down this year. Again we got to the final but PSG just had way too much. I've now played PSG 14 times and have drawn 2 of those and lost the other 2 - record against them is so bad i'm like Wenger against Mourinho or something but they are just far too good. We were narrowly 4th seeds and we actually got really luck to get a group as easy as we got as we could have got teams like: Man City, Inter Milan, Dortmund, Arsenal and Napoli. Did well enough to gt through the group which gave me some confidence going into the knockout stage. I didn't expect us to get as far as we did but our run wasn't thaaat hard to be fair. Bilbao and Sevilla were the two real tests, we scraped past Bilbao luckily on away goals and just about did enough against Sevilla in the home leg, once they didn't have an away goal I was kind of confident we could nick it. We got quite lucky as a lot of big sides that joined from the CL didn't end up getting drawn against us on our path to the final, at the 1st Knockout Round there was still teams like: Dortmund, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Napoli, Arsenal, Man City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Valencia all in it and we didn't really get anyone thaaat good until Sevilla and Napoli. I went into the final knowing we would get CL next year if we won which would have been great but Napoli were ultimately too strong for us and we still did incredibly well to get as far as we did. Transfers I went through transfers earlier but I had limited funds and got in some decent rotation and depth with it. Soria, our best defender left to join PSG and his compatriot Alberto Rodriguez slotted in perfectly. Jan Larsen became new first choice GK. Merlo became a first team option in midfield, Murphy Mandanda was intended to be first choice DM but he broke his foot and missed a large chunk of the season. Tristan Vincent was rotation/back-up CAM and Jamil also came into CM and if anything got into the side more than Merlo. Squad pt 1, Squad pt 2 Bram de Gruyter was important at CAM again, he's getting older now so a long term replacement may be needed sooner rather than later. I got Tristan Vincent in but he already seems annoyed at lack of game time so he might end up leaving soon. Kevin Haller had a good year at DM, signed Mandanda to replace him but due to him getting injured Haller played a lot more than I anticipated and didn't disappoint. Juan Manuel Julio was back among the goals getting 13 this year, Angel Perez wasn't as impressive as last year as he finished with 16 goals. Vincent Jardin had a better year than the last few as he was our top scorer once more with 26 goals, 20 of them coming in the league. Finances Not looking great - will look better once I get my sponsorship money in which seems to be gradually going up and up each season but it will be a summer once again of not much to spend. Could have done with winning that Europa final to get CL but was a long shot and a surprise to even get that far in the first place. I wouldn't say we've gone backwards in the league but the Europa League definitely harmed our chances at getting 3rd, hopefully we can do better in the league next season. I still want to be competitive in cups and Europa League though, hopefully I can improve our squad depth over the summer. He wasn't amazing but he's young and still got a lot to learn and develop yet. Others Gregory Leroux is Da Costa's opposite really, has similar potential but is a left-back. Unfortunately for him my left back is super fit all of the time so there wasn't much cause for Leroux to play other than cup games and rare times when first choice was unfit. He has the potential to be first choice at LB but my current LB is 24 and I have no real need to demote him as he's pretty good. Jeremy Jacob is another guy who could make it he's a CB who can also play RB, he's got at least 2 and a half star potential maybe 3 but it's that black thing where you don't know if he is that good or not. He was essentially our 3rd choice CB this season so it's a testament to how fit my 2 starting CB's stayed that he only got 6 starts all year with some of them being against weak sides in the cup. Francois Lambert got a start in a cup game when I was desperate and he did score tbf to him but he's only got 2 and half star potential and his attributes especially finishing and composure are horrendous for a striker - is only 15 though. Mathis Leroy and Gael Geurin both got a sub appearance each in the cup, they're both CM/CAM's who have 2 and a half star potential but i'd be surprised if either of them made it, with Leroy being more likely.Notable Past Players Karim Amroune, DM/MC Time at Club Appearances Assists Goals MOTM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 2016-2029 229 19 12 4 ----------------------------------------------------------------- International Record: Algeria U20: 4 Caps, 0 Goals

Romanista1994
Batman PetrolSpor 2029/30 Update The Club Manager Profile | Staff | Team Report | Information | Facilities | Finances | Transfers Some big news here. We will be upgrading the youth facilities once again, while the board decided to expand our stadium by almost 10,000 seats (which will bring it up to 29k+), which means that we will be ground-sharing at Diyarbakır in a 33,000 seat stadium next season. This also means that we will have another £150k p/m added to our loan repayments, bringing the total up to a monthly £350k. This will be offset by our monthly transfer income, but it also means that we'll be running at a loss and that I won't ask to upgrade the junior coaching yet. Spor Toto Super League Predicted finish: 3rd Actual Finish: 1st (CHAMPIONS!) League Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 We started off slowly, to the point where players asked for a meeting to discuss our poor form. After that, however, we became brilliant and we ended up with our highest point total and a 13 point lead on the second placed team. Fantastic season, overall. Ziraat Turkish Cup Winners Another trophy to add to our cabinet. We were very convincing throughout and fully deserved to be in the final, where a Konuk brace saw him further cement his legendary status at the club. Squad Squad Screen 1 | Squad Screen 2 Most Appearances: João Donosor (31 starts, 3 subs) Top Goalscorer: Fuat Gündoğdu (26) Most Assists: João Donosor (14) Highest Average Rating: João Donosor (7.70) Goalkeepers 1. Hakan Bülbül - A great goalkeeper, who is only 27, but has been with us for almost a decade. 21. Erdinç Görgülü - Homegrown backup keeper, whose performances in the cup were sensational this year. He conceded only one goal (in the final) in 11 cup games. Rightbacks 2. Eşref Baran - He's usually very consistent, if unspectacular. 22. Zekeriya Turan - A younger competitor for Baran, who will probably take over should the other leave the club. Centrebacks 24. Alper Saruhan - Saruhan was injured for a large portion of the season, but when he came back he was fantastic and everyone who played alongside him in the centre of our defence played better too. 5. Lorenzo Petit - Now a backup to the in-form Saruhan, might even be moved on in the near future should any decent offers be made for him. 4. Borracha - Borracha took a while to adapt to Turkish football and his form improved massively only after the turn of the year. 25. İsmet Bolat - The crown jewel of the Batman Petrolspor academy and possibly of Turkish football as a whole. Having become international and a 'Wonderkid' at 18, Bolat is now considered a Super League star at only 19. Leftbacks 3. İdris Çelen - The more consistent of our two young and homegrown leftbacks. 23. Sahir Öner - Very solid for a guy who was playing second division football the year before and should still have some growth left in him. Defensive Midfielders 6. Kenny Appleyard - The Englishman had a solid season. 16. Abdurrahman Aksu - Another homegrown player, whose performances this year were consistent if unremarkable. Right wingers 17. João Donosor - Beast. He's put in some sensational performances since joining and signed a new 3-year contract on big wages. 27. Emre Eser - An excellent Turkish prospect, who came back from injury in the last few games to adequately replace Donosor. Central Midfielders 10. Orhan Çiçek - Yet another homegrown player, who will be hard for us to retain if he continues to perform like he has been doing. 30. İbrahim Özdemir - The final academy graduate in our first team and backup to Çiçek, but also an excellent performer in his own right. 8. Mehmet Yavuz - The midfield general did very well, although he tended to get nervous in the big occasions. 15. Ekrem Cengiz - Did very well in his first year at the club, will probably be the one to take over from Yavuz in the future. Left Wingers 11. Ümit Yıldırım - Started as the backup to López, but his performances made it hard to leave him out for prolonged spells. 20. Daniel López - He did a bit better in the cup than in the league, but even there he was very solid. Strikers 9. Yiğit Konuk - The club captain had a brilliant season in terms of both goalscoring and general performances. He now has 204 league goals in 367 league appearances and 286 goals in all competitions. 29. Fuat Gündoğdu - An incredible season for a striker his first year at the club. He managed to score one more goal than Konuk this season (by grabbing a brace in the last game of the season) and did so in less games. If he can keep this up we might already have found Konuk's long-term replacement. Previous Season Goals Win the cup - Success Better league position - Success Continue building a new squad - Success Next Season Goals Retain the title - Our squad should be able to retain the title, but that might become harder should the financial heavyweights strengthen their teams. Improve club coefficient - This season without European football has only slightly lowered our coefficient, but we can't afford to have multiple low coefficient seasons. Ensure that the two loans don't ruin our finances - This means that a few of our older players will have to leave for big fees, while their replacements will have to join on the cheap or for free. Tecmo
2024/2025 Season Review Back up again after a pretty fun season. League Table We started off slowly, losing our first two games and not moving into first until 2/3 of the way into the season but there wasn't much doubt we were the best team in the league. We advanced mainly on the strength of our offense and controlling possession. Firat Sancar made the most of his chance as a starter, scoring 25 goals and leading the league with 14 assists. Hayretting Sahin made good as our captain scoring 15 goals with 7 assists. And Joao Meneses moved into the starting lineup at AML quickly and scored 16 goals with 11 assists on his way to Young Player of the Year in the league. Dantinho also made a major contribution, being named the Fans Player of the Year on our team while controlling the midfield and scoring some tremendous long range goals. Sancar, Dantinho, Jorge Silva and Huseyin Avcu were all named to the League Team of the Year. My defense took a bit of a hit during the winter transfer window as Murat Buyukduvenci chose to leave us in favor of Karabukspor, the team that finished in second. On the bright side, we got 800 K out of the deal and brought in a 21 year old who should be as good in a couple seasons. I also added a nice 17 year old from Besiktas who will hopefully develop into a nice defensive midfielder. We're pretty much all in to avoid relegation next season. I told the board that was my intention and they definitely sound like they're getting bored with League 1. Financially we probably need to stay up as well, we dipped down to only about 1.5 million in the bank last season. I'm pretty happy with our offense going into next season, especially if Dario Capan comes back from loan to play with Dantinho. We have Jorge Silva coming back on loan for his third season. He'll ideally be playing half back behind Capan and Dantinho. We need to strengthen our fullback positions and, possibly goalkeeper. I'm happy with how Tahir Aldemir played, allowing 32 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets in 29 games, but he was helped by not facing a lot of shots. Romanista1994
Paul - Great stuff in the EL, shame about your chairman going back on his promise though. Tecmo - Glad to see you up again, third time's the charm? I'm changing my goal of winning the title again to getting at least third place, as some big sales have been made and are being made this pre-season. This should put us on a very solid financial footing for the next few years, but the squad is definitely weaker than last year now.
Tecmo
2025/2026 Season Preview Transfer History So a lot of deadwood cleared out during this offseason with just a few new signings. 3 major ones specifically and a couple with more of an eye to the future. Umit Kursunlu was our biggest transfer buy, coming over from League 1 side Sivasspor for 575K. I've had an eye on him for a couple seasons, he's really ideal for what I want as a defensive midfielder...except that he's fairly injury prone and he's already starting this season on the shelf with a short term injury. We also brought in a pretty expensive free transfer with a new Uzbeki center back, Sergey Tuhtasinov. He's been a top player in Uzbekistan and should be a good defender in the Super League, a major upgrade for us in the back line. My other big acquisition is a loanee, Yavuz Ozcan, a 21 year old goalkeeper from Groningen in Holland. He has dual Dutch/Turkish citizenship and was just named to the Euro U21 Dream Team. If thing goes well for him, I think he could be my first million dollar plus transfer. We're also getting midfielder Dario Capan back from a successful loan stint in Switzerland and Halil Tuna from his time on loan in Belgium. We should be able to stay up this time, this feels like the most talented team I've ever had. We might be a little thin in the striker position and we don't have a physical presence up there but I'm using a false 9 in a 4-1-2-2-1 wide so size shouldn't be essential. Could be a problem when winter arrives but for now we'll depend on speed and skill to get our goals.
Tecmo
Decent start for us with a draw on the road after blowing a 3 goal lead, a win at home and a loss on the road in a game where we dominated but couldn't get the ball in the net and lost on a mistake and a penalty kick. A couple issues have arisen just before the transfer deadline though. My top striker, Firat Sancar, has gone down with a 3-4 month injury. I'm confident enough that Joao Meneses can handle starting, but I need to add a backup, preferably one who can play inside forward from the AML spot as well. Also, Bucaspor has put in a pretty good bid for Islom Maxmudov. I'm kind of inclined to take it as it's kind of hard to play him and Sergey Tuthasinov together given the limits on foreign players, not to mention whenever the Uzbeki national team plays, they wipe out my backline with their callups. But again, I'll have to find a suitable replacement to make it work.
PaulHartman71
Pau FC - Season 16: 2030/31 Ligue 1 So close to the Champions League but so far. I thought we might be able to sneak it after we got knocked out of the Europa League kind of early as would have less games but in the end FC Nantes beat us to it. 4th is still our highest ever finish though and we somehow only finished 8 points behind PSG who won it. A pretty decent run to the final. Required extra time to get past Havre but got 3 in the extra half hour. Did well to beat Nantes 1-0 and then just didn't have enough against PSG in the final. Pretty similar story in the French Cup. Needed a penalty shoot-out to get past Amiens which was a bit disappointing and a late winner against Clermont saved us from extra time in the 10th round. Ultimately didn't have enough against PSG though. Had a decent group with AZ proving to be slightly tougher opposition than I originally expected but we just about had enough to get through to the knock-out stage of the competition. Had a very Arsenal like feel to it this tie. We were awful at home even though Valencia are probably better than us we weren't in the game at all and they should have put 4 or 5 past us. Didn't go into the away leg that confident and within 20 minutes we were 2-0 down, 4-0 on aggregate. Jardin grabbed one just before half-time but I still wasn't expecting much from the second half. By the 67th minute it was 3-2 and we were just 1 goal away from qualifying - just couldn't quite manage it in the end. We proper Arsenal'd it. Like for like swap with the strikers except we didn't actually get the German guy in until January which meant our 3rd choice striker for half the season was the pretty awful youth guy. Didn't have a choice selling Angel Perez though as the chairman accepted it as too good to turn down and needed the money apparently. Squad pt 1, Squad pt 2 Bram de Gruyter had another great season at CAM he's now 32 but still going strong. Alberto Rodriguez had another good season at CB. Jose Manuel Julio was decent as 2nd striker getting 17 goals and 17 assists in 52 games. Vincent Jardin was back to his best as he managed 34 goals and 18 assists in 54 games. Finances Look okay at the moment mainly as a result of the £9M or so we got from selling Perez last summer. Will deteriorate unless we either sell someone in the summer or get Champions League football next season. Romanista1994
Season 16 Preseason Report Summer Transfer Window Transfers IN: I brought in a few youngsters who could go on to be good players and managed to snap up Kaya for £4.5M on deadline day after his club got a new manager. OUT: Lots of big sales (including breaking our biggest sale record twice in the same transfer window), totaling £28M spread over 48 months. This brings our monthly income from players sales to over £1M, which will help a lot with our loan repayments. Our wage budget has also dropped by over £50k p/w, so we should be fine financially for the foreseeable future. It does, however, mean that our squad is a lot weaker than last year in terms of depth, but we should still be able to challenge at the top. TFF Super Cup Winners Always good to get an extra trophy in, especially now that we're expected to win everything domestically. Current First Eleven GK: Hakan Bülbül RB: Zekeriya Turan CB: Alper Saruhan CB: Borracha LB: İdris Çelen DM: Yasin Kaya - I've been chasing him for a while now, but it took until the final day of the transfer window for his club to even consider any bids. RM: João Donosor CM: Alberto Di Mauro - The loanee from Milan has already scored on his debut. IOA
Gaziosmanpaşaspor (Season 21) - 2035/2036 Spor Toto Super League Not too bad, moved up a position from the season before and back in Europe. Transfers Transfers In - Meza was signed as a backup striker/winger. Transfers Out - Saviano just couldn’t perform so was sold for cash, the other two to leave on free transfers were again youth players who could not make the step up to the first team. Finally, lots of loanees leaving the club looking for first team football. Squad Team Report GK - Another season of good performances from the GK's. DEF - The defence was much more consistent than last season. MID - Great contribution from the Midfield once again. ST - Meza performed for the strikers, it just wasn’t Espinoza’s season. Player of the Season – Cristian Meza Ziraat Turkish Cup Lots of drama! Thankfully, we are actually good at penalties and in extra time! Always wonderful to win a trophy, especially as we can't win anything else! Finances Another season in the positive, it's getting better and better! Next Season European football please. IOA
Gaziosmanpaşaspor (Season 22) - 2036/2037 Spor Toto Super League FINALLY! Transfers Transfers In - Galvan signed as a first XI player. Transfers Out - Three first team players left as they were no longer good enough, further to that, a lot of reserve players were also released whom were never going to be in the first team. We also lost Bahri Meric to Valencia and he's another youth product we've lost to the big European teams as soon as they're out of their youth contracts. However, the transfer that hurt the most was Meza whom had a superb debut season and was the best player of this season until Fenerbahce signed him for his minimum release clause in January which was a ridiculous £3.5million. Finally, a few youth players went out on loan. Squad Team Report GK - Superb season from Salman whom kept fully fit throughout the season and injury free DEF - Our most settled defence and as a result the most successful MID - The regulars and their deputy’s performed admirably ST - Another good season from Espinoza, although we struggled for goals after Meza left Player of the Season – Florian Meyer Turkish Super Cup Extra time loss against the league champions Ziraat Turkish Cup Eliminated on away goals to a poor Elazigspor Euro Cup The defining game was against Sporting at home 3-2 up and then somehow we lost 6-3. Tecmo
IOA - Great job winning the league! You're flying through the seasons. Good luck in the Champions League. We've finally survived a season in the top flight, just a few games to finish hopefully tonight. Never spent any time in the bottom 3, never really threatened the top half. Top 9 will likely be our goal for next season.
Tecmo
2025/2026 Season Review Finally, we survive the Super League. League Table Never really threatened with relegation we pretty much sat between 10th and 15 all season, ending 11th with after losing our last game to Besiktas. Quite a shame too, we could have relegated them with a tie. Squad We had a really diverse offense and I was quite surprised that the returning Halil Tuna ended up our leading scorer with 16 goals playing as an inside forward from the right side. I had planned on letting him go after the season but with that performance I had to bring him back for another season. He also finished 3rd in Super League Player of the Year and 2nd in Midfield of the Year. Dantinho though is unquestionably our best player at this point and was named to the Super League Team of the Year. I just signed him to a new contract as I'm pretty sure he'll draw attention during the offseason. We got his release clause boosted from just over a million up to 5 million. Turkish Cup Matches Turkish Cup Group Stage We met expectations by cruising into the group stages but drawing both games against the worst team in the group resulted in a pretty disappointing third place finish. Finances We're in great shape financially with over 5 million in the bank. The board is upgrading our youth facilities, our first upgrade in a few seasons. Our transfer budget has also be increased significantly, doubled up to 5.08 million and our payroll increased about 50%. Looking forward, I have two major pieces of business for the upcoming offseason. I really want to bring back goalkeeper Yavuz Ozcan, who we have on loan from Dutch side Groningen. He had 4 clean sheets and allowed 41 goals in 26 league games. So far they've rejected my transfer options. I also need to bring in a more consistent striker. Joao Meneses was effective when healthy but he missed half the season while Firat Sancar was less effective and also missed several months with injuries. I like our chances of finishing in the top half of the table next season if I can resolve the two issues above. My defense and midfield are both coming back intact. I think we're looking good. Romanista1994
IOA - Great stuff! Hope it is the first of many. Tecmo - Well done on staying up. Did you try to prolong Ozcan's loan? That's how I managed to keep Kemal Efe for three years, until his contract expired and I signed him on a free. Also, Halil Tuna. \o/

Romanista1994
A quick question to all...Do complete this challenge do I have to win the league and the champions league in the same season? As far as I know not winning both in the same season is fine, but in Turkey you'll generally have to be pretty dominant domestically before you're able to mount a challenge in Europe, so they'll usually coincide. Paul - Congrats on the Europa League win, will be great for France's coefficient.
Tecmo
2026/2027 Season Preview Transfer History So not a terribly busy offseason as far as bringing in new players or getting rid of old ones. We allowed some of the dead weight to move on. On the incoming side, I brought back all three of the players I had on loan from other teams. GK Yavuz Ozcan and LB Jorge Silva both return on loan while I bought AML Halil Karaca after his successful stint with us last season. We have three big new signings as well as a few with an eye to the future. ST Ricardo Cardoso was supposed to be my big signing to spearhead our attack. I signed the 22 year old from Sporting Lisbon on a free after he scored 55 goals in the last 3 seasons. He scored in our first game but unfortunately also tore his calf muscle in the same game and will miss the first half of the season. MC Muhammed Demirci comes from a relegated Gaziantepspor side to backup my forward midfielders. I also picked up a 21 year old Turkish/Austrian left back from FC Admira Wacker who I'm hoping can replace Jorge Silva after this season. I also brought in two striker prospects who I think could be interesting. Murat Kock has a lot of attributes I think could make him into a good False 9. Either footed, excellent vision for his age, dribbling skills and a model professional. He is being tutored by Firat Sancar. And Bira is a striker I signed out of Brazil. Great tackling for a striker and superb determination. Could be fun as a gritty pain in your ass type striker eventually. He's on loan this season in League 1 with Tavsanli Linyitspor. Projected Starting XI: GK Yavuz Ozcan - Impressive young goalkeeper. LB Jorge Silva - 4th season on loan with us, very consistent. LCB Kenan Kahraman - Good young, conservative defender who stays back and heads everything. RCB Sergey Tuhtasinov - Our vice-captain and a star for the Uzbeki national team. RB Jonas Berglund - A tall defensive Swedish fulllback we picked up during the winter transfer window, can move inside as well. DM Umit Kursunlu - I really wasn't happy with him in the first half of last season but he emerged strongly as an anchorman in the second half. CM Dantinho - I'm playing him as a roaming playmaker, really makes things happen in the midfield. Lethal long range shot and goes on some breathtaking runs through the middle of the pitch. CM Dario Capan - Also an excellent passer and tackler in the midfield, playing as a central midfielder attack. AML Hayrettin Sahin - He's more ideal as a winger on the right side but Tuna is playing over there and I want to keep Sahin in the lineup as he's my captain. AMR Halil Tuna - Veteran on the right side, a real threat as an inside forward and our leading scorer last season. ST Joao Meneses - Going to get another chance as our main attacker with Cardoso's injury. He'll also play as an inside forward along side Firat Sancar quite a bit. That's 6 foreign players in my starting 11 but between injuries and rotation we'll keep that down to 5. Oddsmakers are giving us 200-1 odds, tied with three other teams for second worst in the league. If we can keep scoring we should be far better than that. berty1978
I haven't been on here for a while, fancy giving this a shot again this year. Have loaded up the Italian league and chosen a team, small update to come. Have plenty to catch up on too, great thread again.
PaulHartman71
Pau FC - Season 18: 2032/33 Ligue 1 Gutted to miss out on CL again next season by a point/2 points if you count superior goal difference. It came to the wire but ultimately a massive injury crisis in February/March cost us a lot of points which meant we just finished 4th again. We did actually win a European trophy this season though as we pulled off a surprise upset against Real Madrid in the European Super Cup. I wasn't expecting anything from this game really so to go in at half-time 4-0 up was mental. Madrid pulled 2 back but we held on and it was great to win and gave me confidence this season thinking well if we can beat Real Madrid we can beat anyone. It was annoying to miss out on the final but we had a lot of injuries in that game and Lyon away was just too much for the depleted squad. A great run that was halted by a fantastic PSG side that at home were just far too good for us on the day. Despite being 3rd seeds we managed to pull off a very nice group, avoiding a lot of the big teams. It was a very close group but we were just about able to top it and go into the knockout stages of the Champions League at our first venture in the tournament. I wasn't sure what to expect from Liverpool but they didn't seem all that great really over the two legs. I was delighted to get a win at Anfield especially grabbing an away goal and although they scared me a bit grabbing 2 away goals we were still quite comfortable in the home leg, going through 4-2 on aggregate. I expected Juventus to give us a bit of a beating really, we were 2-0 down for the majority of the away leg when late on Jardin popped up with an away goal that proved extremely useful. I set up very conservatively in the home leg as we had a chance having scored the away goal, but would be screwed as soon as Juventus grabbed one of their own. Luckily we kept them out and Weibenfels popped up with a goal that eventually put us through on away goals to an unprecedented Champions League semi final! It was quite surprising to be that far into the competition and a combination of good fortune with draws and the away goal with Juve. It was always going to be hard when we drew Bayern and they ripped us apart in both games really, we did go 1-0 up at home which gave me some hope but it was over as soon as they grabbed the 3 away goals. I went all out in Munich to try and do something but we just got hit on the counter twice in the first-half and I shut up shop in the second half to avoid further embarrassment. Due to the CL moneys we actually got quite a tasty transfer budget, after selling Dawid Konopka the GK to CSKA Moscow I got in Javier Movio to replace him. Daouda Ndiaye was signed as a new first choice LB. Damian Mut came in as a new younger CAM and Julio Alberto Otero came in as a new starting striker. Squad pt 1, Squad pt 2 Julio Alberto Otero proved a great buy as he managed 21 goals and 10 assists in 34 games. Damian Mut did well at CAM. Vincent Jardin wasn't as good as last season but was still decent with 21 goals and 11 assists from 46 games. Finances They don't look amazing at the moment and that wont be helped by no CL money for next season. But we do have some decent sponsorship deals in place so we should be fine if we get CL football again next season. Maybe wont have as great of a budget this summer though which is a bit crap. berty1978
Virtus Verona - Lega Pro Girone A Season 1 (2015/16) - Intro Manager details Manager Info. Manager Profile Club details Club information Club background Club facilities League history Virtus Verona are Verona's 'third team' and are certainly a team with very little history, they had one season in Serie C/2 but and were relegated back to Serie D due to the disbandoning of that division. They had to play at various other stadiums due to theirs being too small, no such joy in FM as we are stuck at their tiny 800 capacity ground. Did I mention they are also a very anti-fascist club similar to the likes of St-Pauli in Germany and Wrexham of all teams. There is quite an interesting article about them in FourFourTwo: Virtus Verona article Finances - Happy with the finances at the moment but surely we will be losing money at an alarming rate. This is going to be tough, and I must admit I have taken some players on loan from our parent club Chievo just to make up the numbers a bit.

Tecmo
Midseason update in Erzurum, a bit disappointing league form as we're sitting in 12th. Main issue has been defense. We've actually scored in 24 games in a row but, unfortunately, we also had 22 games in a row without keeping a clean sheet. We finally broke that streak in our last two games at least. Especially maddening is how many games we've had a lead in before conceding late goals to draw or lose. But we have gotten out of the group stages of the Turkish Cup for only the second time, so there is that. I did some work in the winter transfer window to try shoring up the defense. Centerback Jonathan Yusuf caught my attention during the summer so when I saw he was available for loan I decided to snatch him up. And I also found a great looking young right back, Daniele D'Arcangelo, an Indonesian/Italian player who trained with Inter Milan. This left me over heavy on foreign players so I decided to ship Sergey Tuhtasinov out on loan to La Liga side Mallorca. He really was having a disappointing season so I'm hoping he does well enough with Mallorca to get a decent offer for him in the offseason.
Tecmo
Well that's interesting, Japan offered me their head coaching job out of the blue. I've never tried international management before, seems like it could be helpful though going forward.
berty1978
Virtus Verona - Lega Pro Girone A Season 1 Review (2015/16) Results 1 Results 2 League - Graph Inbetween the friendly matches we went out of the Serie C Cup in a disappointing manner, after winning the away game at Padova just a point at home to Cremonese would have seen us through, however we drew a blank in a 1-0 defeat to see them through instead. I certainly would have taken 11th at the start of the season, but after an excellent start with Scapani and Dimas scoring freely we were still 6th after 18 games. The season got much worse after that, just as well we gained the points we did in the first half of the season because we won 5 of the last 21 to finish 11th. My main concern going into next season is the -16 goal difference, we were hammered on a number of occasions, including conceding 8 against both Novara and Monza over the two games, something I will clearly need to address for next season. Squad Best XI Key players Davide Bianchi - Goalkeeper on loan from our parent club Chievo, kept us in a number of games. Marco Croce - Certainly one of the key players, the attacking minded midfielder scored his fair share of goals in a good season. Dimas - Our key player, however after an excellent start to the season went off the boil and disappointed a little bit in the end, despite scoring 16 missed too many clear cut chances. Matteo Scapini - The star of the season and outclassed Dimas up front, scoring 24 goals which helped us on our way to the 11th place finish. Confirmation I was offered a one year contract extension. Wage budget doubled for next season, gives us much more freedom in looking for players. Oh dear, I didn't actually know the board had planned an expansion, but fair play for having the ambition to do so. PaulHartman71
Pau FC - Season 19: 2033/34 Ligue 1 Still quite a way off from Monaco and PSG but it was good to get our first ever top 3 finish. The highlight of the league campaign was a 2-0 away win against PSG that marked the first time we'd ever beaten them in any competition - Reached the final of the Coupe de la Ligue after a good run and was disappointing to ultimately end up flopping in the final to a 3-0 defeat. Apart from Lyon in the quarter final and making a meal out of US Senart-Moissy it was a really easy run for us and I was glad to lift the French Cup for a second time. A very tight group that we just about squeezed through. An excellent away win in the 2nd leg to PSG put us through to the 2nd round where we were unfortunate to go out after scoring 2 away goals in the first leg. Dortmund the better side though and deservedly went through. Nobody of note left and I got in a young midfielder from Real Madrid to booster the central options. Squad pt 1, Squad pt 2 Vincent Jardin had a relatively quiet year, Damian Mut was decent at CAM and Julio Alberto Otero had another great year with 29 goals and 14 assists from 42 games. Finances CL money for next season should give me a decent budget to work with in the summer.
