Br3nB
Hi all, just purchased a new Macbook Pro - http://store.apple.com/uk/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MGX72B/A&step=config Does anybody have experience of running FM on a similar product? I'm looking to run a large database and 7-8 Nations! Thanks!
Wanson
Mine is similar but an early 2011 model. You should be able to play FM fine on it. I'm currently running 5 nations and a large database. I started a save about a week ago and I'm about 1.5 seasons in now, playing mostly just in the evenings.
RTHerringbone
There are a few residual Mac Book issues that SI are working on. I have the same base model as you but with upgraded RAM and processor, and it works absolutely fine with medium database and about 8 nations. I suspect it could handle more with ease. Br3nB
Ah, what kind of issues are they? I was going to upgrade but decided to stick to the basics, hopefully should be able to run a decent game then! How many players do you have loaded? pedro griffin
I have a MacBook Pro retina that's about 2 years old. The last few years have been fine with 8 nations loaded and a large database. No issues with loading times or match engine problems. The laptop does tend to sound as though it will take off when a match is being played though
memoman
I've got the same one as specified in the OP and FM works a treat with 7-8 countries. Exiting full screen is cmd-shift-f by the way. Took me ages to find when I bought mine!
USMNT10
I have a 2014 Mac Air, i7 8gb ram, intel 5000 graphics card and it runs great. Doesn't heat up or make noises when running. And I have about a dozen nations loaded. When the 12 or so nations(60,000 players) loaded: Performance rating: 5/5 Speed rating: 2.5/5 3D graphics: 4/
