The way I see it is float crosses are for teams who maybe have a big target man or tall wingers as you want the ball to hang in the air longer than usual. Whipped crosses are fast and dipped, designed to make them more difficult for defenders to defend. So if you're up against a team with centre-backs who are good at anticipating and positioning then whipped crosses are they way forward. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
