LarkFenFizz
Cheers guys - I know nobody likes a show off but it was my first tycoon takeover I've ever had. To be fair, I've won the Premier & Champs League now for a few years running so already a force. Hoping the owners will still be around in 9 seasons time when I can hopefully build a new stadium for the 2nd time. This years wage budget has risen from £2.3million to a ridiculous £4.1million with a £77million transfer kitty. Totally unsustainable figures with a 25,000 stadium - let's hope they don't pull out! Dafuge - I've seen your threads & admire your work. Surely that can't be your first tycoon!
dafuge
Dafuge - I've seen your threads & admire your work. Surely that can't be your first tycoon! I think it is the first one I've had who has taken over while I was in charge, I've moved to tycoon owned clubs a couple of times though. It's fun, although you have to be careful with spending too much on wages just in case he leaves. As a Pompey fan I'm far too familiar with what happens! dafuge
What actually happens in the game? Chelsea have had a takeover in mine, so it would be interesting to know what happens. The owner sets up sponsorship deals to cover any spending to comply with FFP. You can pretty much spend what you want and get away with it.
LarkFenFizz
Thought I forgot my password on one account so made another! Well, thought I forgot it! Dafuge - yeah I'm keeping an eye on wages. Trying not to go over £3million. How long, on average, does a tycoon stay with a club?
dafuge
How long, on average, does a tycoon stay with a club? It seems to be similar to ay other owner, so they could be around for any length of time. Just make the most of it early and build for the future, splash out huge transfer fees on youngsters rather than huge wages on established stars. awulfclark
I heard one about Canvey Island and a Slovenian This and the thread title sound like setups for really bad jokes.
FrankFizzle
Following on from my successful St Neots venture last year, I started FM16 with Nuneaton. No tycoon but a very successful take over: https://s31.postimg.org/uiyr3r6az/Pep_Larciola_Inbox.png Again, still in a 20,000 seater stadium, my wage budget jumps from 2.7 to 5.2mil! Next up will hopefully be another new stadium.
Qwqwqw
Holy thread revival, Batman! Also, my current takeover meant that the new owner put the club (Man Utd) in ever more debt -.- For months, he's been trying and failing, with the current owner telling me that he rejected the takeover offer because the future owner didn't have enough money, but that he will probably try again soon. And waddya know, we're now in debt for the next 50+ years. I also almost got fired, but managed to stay after kissing the new owner's behind in all the press conferences
