ACosta
So I'm playing an online save with 2 friends and I just got promoted to the Premier League with Norwich. Finished 2nd last season and the problems are kinda carrying on to this season. The problem is: I dominate every game but we don't score. I know I'm not supposed to always win or score but damn, not this badly. Most of the games we end up with 30 shots, about 10-13 on target and we only score once or twice. What can I do to help this situation? I've tried changing training, roles and still nothing! Cleon
Rather than do a detailed post, I'll link you to this thread instead and from what I've just seen on the screenshots, this will cover all the issues you are having and explains a bit about why it happens; http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/423246-What-Makes-A-Goalscorer-! ACosta
I think that link has made me more confused than ever
Cleon
Then I guess not many can help you if that link confused you. It shows you how and why goalscorers work. I don't see how you get goalscorers in the current set up, no-one really providing the supply and it seems to be focused on quantity rather than quality. Jambo98
I can see at least 2 problems which might be impacting: 1) You have no thurst from wide areas - Because of your formation and the roles/duties wide, you dont have anyone getting even near the box from wide i suspect. This means everything comes down the middle, which can be predictable and easy for the opposition to stifle. You need different angles of attack at the top level 2) You are too attacking - With attack mentality, and an even further higher pushed Dline, then thrown in 3 attack duty roles in the AM/ST strata, you are going to end up with all your attacking players stood in the box without much movement or space in behind. This will lead to things like blocked shots or long shots. Watch the games in some detail and you will likely see it playing out like that. You will see that there isnt much pulling away/runs in behind type movement and that everything is a little bit "bottled up" through the middle, i suspect
RTHerringbone
Cleon's linked thread absolutely covers all of your issues, and Jambo98's second observation spells out your main problem. I'd re-read Cleon's thread really, because it should be giving you all the information you need to sort this out.
lewis999
I know all the top threads with so much detail like Cleons etc. can sometimes be confusing to people but what helps me out sometimes and I know this might sound weird but I read it slowly and actually re-read the same sentences sometimes twice and three times so they 'stick'. It's so easy to see a wall of text (an extremely helpful wall of text may I add) and end up reading it really fast and just skimming through and you get to the end thinking....WHAT?! but if you slow down and really take it in it becomes so so helpful and you think 'ahhh right that makes sense.'
