attjen
Next update will be through end of season, if I can actually get it done over the next few days. I'm managing in Italy now. After my relative triumphs in Croatia (one league title documented in another story thread), and having picked up my second cup victory I left after 10 seasons in Novalja. (Novalja look like they will win the Croatian league this season, thanks to the club I built and the Assistant Manager (now Manager) I hired.) I won't be spoiling anything by saying that my new club Spezia have won Serie C1A and the Serie C Supercup, and will be competing in Serie B next year. BvR raised his club back up with a MOM game against Inter, scoring a left-footed volley for the opening goal, earning a penalty for to make it 2-3 and then finding himself in position in the 90th minute to knock home a winner. A truly inspirational game from the striker whose combination play with winger Cernat has been oustanding this year. BvR carried his form into the next game with a hattrick and MOM. His best goal in this one was a 30-yard curler that fooled everyone and found its way into the upper corner. Valencia, looking like European Cup champions, shut out the high-flying striker in the 2nd leg and Roma was dumped out of the Cup. Despite a relatively poor 3 game stretch, Roma still had a chance for the title if they could secure 3 points against Atalanta. meadow lane
Finally a Bundesliga championship for Lefty after close calls despite Lefty being out for a long time injured and not playing quite as well as usual. Maybe the long career is taking its toll on Lefty The best years should still be ahead, now get me someplace warm, Lefty has already seen enough of Berlin.
