QWERTYOP
Seeing this more and more now. One of my players gets a knock, and often (sometimes even at the SAME TIME!) the assistant manager advice bubbles will pop up. One telling me that a player has had a knock, but should be ok, the other advising me to substitute said player. What?!... P.S If this needs moving to a different forum, please do. Optimistic Dave
Roberto Martinez (I always change the Everton manager to my assman before I start) keeps advising me to play more direct!

I can understand bad advice, but DIRECTLY CONFLICTING advice at the same time from the same person?! Need answers here... S.I?.....
thomit
As always; if you think there is a bug, post it in the bugs forum? Btw, I haven't noticed that particular thing happening, ever. But then I pay next to no attention to "advice" from the assistant during matches, so I could easily have missed it.

Hadn't thought of it as a bug. S.I?....
RTHerringbone
It's probably not a bug, just a delay in the way in which in-match data is processed and reported in the form of AssMan advice.

It can't be right though, surely! What are you supposed to do if you're getting directly opposing advice at the exact same time from the exact same member of staff?! thomit
Ignore it? Have one of your match screen widgets up, the one that tells you what kind of injury it's likely to be, and decide for yourself if it's probably safe to let the player play on, or if you need to sub him. What are you supposed to do if you're getting directly opposing advice at the exact same time from the exact same member of staff?! The issue happens because one bit of advice is triggered based on the info available at that time, then another bit of info is triggered when additional data relating to the injury is available. I don't see that this is a big deal? If in doubt, do what thomit suggested and look into the injury and make the judgement yourself. When the AssMan tells you that you should play more direct football, do you just blindly do it?

When the AssMan tells you that you should play more direct football, do you just blindly do it? A very strange thing to say since he doesn't tell me to play more directly, and shorter at EXACTLY the same time. Just admit it makes no logical sense. It needs sorting. It could be solved by having your physio comment (bubble style) on player knocks to you instead. "Boss, player X has taken a knock. It looks to me like it's "x". I think you should take him off" If nothing else, it would make physios more useful, and make their stats more important.
