marcMCFC1986
Some good replies! Thing is when I got Sheffield UTD to the biggest club in the world it was on a network save...........with a mate who was contorlling Sheffield Weds, who become a huge club, they didn't win much as I was clearing up but they were always 2nd in the league and had a big 60k+ stadium which they also used to sell out. I checked in the editor and liverpools 'max attendance' figure has been 75k and stuck on that for 3 seasons straight, even though we've won the CL in all those seasons. It's a tricky one the city as a London club must have huge potential then,......but then would they as they share the city with so many other clubs. I guess I need to work out where there is a big city with very few rivals in and around it. Also odd as I managed Athletico MAdrid once in FM14 and they had a big fanbase, even though Real MAdrid were still huge, we build a stadium expansion to 100 or 120k something silly! Currenty I#m managing sporting Lisbon on FM15, the max attenance is about 40k, so once I get them into the CL on a reg basis I'll see if that jumps up. Although I think (going from a recent visit) SLB's stadium is about 300 metres away! Hi, I know this is an old thread but it just came up in my Google search. I'm managing Man City, and just about to start my 11th Season. In the previous 10 seasons I have won: 9 Premier Leagues (8 in a row) 4 Champions Leagues 2 FA Cups 3 League Cups 3 European Super Cups 3 World Club Championships 6 Community Shields I buy players from all corners of the globe to try and grow the fanbase, but every summer when I ask for a new stadium the board say the fanbase isn't big enough! Losing patience with it now! Considering what I've won, surely the fanbase has increased dramatically!
Overmars
I won Serie A with Lazio in FM15. Our average attendance was below 50% capacity. I know Lazio plays in a large stadium, but success probably should have brought more bandwagon fans to the games.
Guest
Not in Italy, the structure (irl) is massively broken & supporters are staying away in large numbers, in FM the trend can be reversed with continued success but it takes at least a decade to see average attendances get anywhere near their former peak levels. Roma are averaging just under 40K this season, their title challenge never really gained traction but they've been at the sharp end of the league for a while now & this is Totti's final season yet the supporters still stay away. Inter are averaging 45K in a season when had they not suffered a massive dressing room row over the winter break would probably have strolled the title this season & even with some of the most exiting football in the league over recent seasons Napoli will still play matches in a half empty stadium. btw, Lazio are averaging just over 20K this season so getting a half full Olympic Stadium would be damn impressive.
