DKB
When you chose to add a feeder club that (perhaps) will give you some of their youth players coming though your youth intake, will it decrease the numbers of youth of your nationality coming though at the same time, or will it be added to the amount that you will get as it is Ei, if you chose to add Boca as a feeder club will the Argentine youth that (perhaps) comes though your youth intake decrease the Spanish players (if you play in Spain) - so you would get an Argentine "wonderkid"/quality youth instead of a Spanish one - or would it add to the intake of quality players that you would have gotten already
Cougar2010
At a basic level I would suspect it will just change the nationality. You will still get the same amount of players it just increase the likelihood of them being a different nationality. It may also increase the % chance of getting a highly quality of youth but I'm not sure.
dllu
Yes, it simply increases your youth recruitment network and thereby the chances of players from the feeder club's nation. The total number of players every year should stay the same. Whether the chances of getting more talented players increases if the feeder club has really good youth facilities, I'm not sure, but it would be logical. DKB
I get that it increases the chance of getting a foreign newgen of high quality, but does it decrease the chance of getting a domestic high quality youngster, as the foreign player "would take" a qulity domestic newgen place in the youth intake? dllu
Well, that would be my guess, yes - without actually knowing the game mechanics behind it for sure. But just to clarify: Let's say you're at a club in Spain and there's a 5% chance of getting a high quality newgen (just a random example). If you have no feeder clubs, that means 5% chance of getting a Spanish high quality newgen. If you have one Argentinian feeder club, that means maybe 4% chance of getting a Spaniard and 1% chance of getting an Argentinian. Again, these percentages are all random numbers, but based on the feeling I get from my own saves, I am pretty sure that the overall chance of getting a good newgen at a given club is the same (and depends on your youth setup), feeder club(s) or no feeder club(s). Having feeder clubs simply makes the pool of talent that your virtual youth department can choose from more diverse. Would be my guess...
samdiatmh
it also depends on your scouting knowledge too I once got 2 regens from Palestine (of all places) even though it only had a bare minimum knowledge from one of my coaches I was surprised, to say the least - and they were actually pretty decent
