I've never actually completed a story either, which makes it all the more boring that I've decided I want back in . I needed something to do whilst I'm gallivanting around the world on my travels Game is being playing in FM 2015, using the latest patch. Large database loaded with all the major divisions from the Netherlands, England, France, Italy, Spain and Germany loaded. First window transfers have also been disabled. Please feel free to point out any mistakes etc Hopefully I can update as regularly as possible, and that you enjoy my journey with Ajax -------------------------- Thomas van Sandt is the chosen man to take over from Frank De Boer as the manager of Ajax. Frank announced his decision to leave the club a week after lifting his fourth Eredivisie trophy, leaving Van Sandt with the unenviable task of following in his legacy. Thomas was unveiled to assembled media today by chairman Hans Wijers, who told press that he had every faith in van Sandts’ ability to upkeep the clubs proud history and continue the success. Van Sandt added that he planned on winning the Eredivise this season with the addendum that he will not be bringing any further players to the Dutch capital, believing the clubs current crop of players coupled with the fabulous youth system was more than enough to keep the title at the Amsterdam Arena. Season objectives: Eredivisie: The board would like us to come home with the title, and that is what I’ll be expecting. KNVB Cup: Again the board would like me to bring the trophy back, whilst it would be nice I’m not going to go all guns blazing. A good chance to rotate the squad. Champions League: The board seem to think we won’t make it out of the group stage, I’ll be aiming to prove them wrong. There is a budget, but I don’t plan to use it. Squad: Goalkeepers – We are lucky in this area to have some real quality. Jasper Cillessen is in charge of the number one jersey, the 26 year old Dutch international is easily one of the best goalkeepers in the league, and will be a rock between the sticks. Backing him up is Diederik Boer, the former Zwolle man is adequate back up. Micky van der Hart, whilst on loan at the moment will be set to fight Diederik next season, and with the right tutelage will be pressing for the number 1. Defenders – On the left and right we have no problems, Danish Nicolai Boilesen will command the left side and Ricardo van Rhijn down the right, youngsters Kenny Tete and Jairo Riedewald offering back up and will gain invaluable match experience. In the centre, our first choice partnership will be captain Niklas Moisander and Joel Veltman with Nick Viergever, Riechedley Bazoer and Jairo Riedwald waiting in the wings. Midfield – Here is where the squad gets exciting, Ajax have some really excellent talent to display in the middle of the park. I’ll be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation so the two players I’ll have sat in the middle are South African Thulani Serero and on loan Dane Niki Zimling. Lasse Schone will sit in behind the striker with Kishna on the left and Anwar El Ghazi on the right supplying my striker. There are so many talented youngsters who will be pushing for first team places; Davy Klassen, Lucas Andersen, and Daley Sinkgraven the pick of the bunch. Strikers – There are three here that will be fighting for the single starting berth. It will mainly be fought between wonderkid Richario Zivkovic and Arkadiusz Milik on loan from Bayern Leverkusen with the Icelandic Kolbeinn Sigporsson rounding out the three. Preseason fixtures start with a trip to Switzerland and game against SV Austria Salzburg, and we will face Zwolle in the Dutch Supercup on the 26th July. The season proper will see us at the Amsterdam Arena to face Sv Heerenveen on the 3rd of August Preseason Results: SV Austria Salzburg (A): 3-1 Ludwig Hasenburger (32); Anwar El Ghazi (16), Niklas Moisander (24), Arkadiusz Milik (53) CS Pandurii (A): 4-0 Ricardo Kishna (32), Arkadiusz Milik (35), Niklas Moisander (45+1), Davy Klassen (74) Sheffield Wednesday (H): 0-0 Alcorcon (H): 4-1 Oscar Plano (77); Lasse Schone (12, Pen 25), Ricardo Kishna (45+1), Anwar El Ghazi (79) West Brom (H): 3-0 Arkadiusz Milik (27, 38), Niki Zimling (42) Lanciano (A): 5-0 Ricardo Kishna (4, 16, 21), Arkadiusz Milik (7, 14) Very happy with how the pre-season has gone, unbeaten in seven games; the only disappointing result was the goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday, but it was a team of mostly youngsters playing. Arkadiusz Milik managed to twist his ankle in the last game and will be unavailable for three weeks as a result, which is a bit of an arse as he was by far our best player. Anwar El Ghazi has picked up a knock and will miss the opening two weeks of the season, as well. Roll on the Super Cup game with Zwolle in a few days.
