Improve Injury Problems?

Recommended Posts

Morning Chaps,

I managed to grab a couple of pretty good ST's with Harrogate in the lower leagues (I joined a friends game 5 years in). Upon scouting said STs... and playing their first seasons fine! They've now developed an Injury weakness... It wasn't here before. Which indicates that it might go away too? Or, is that it? They are done for?

It'd be a shame to get rid of them. I'm rotating them frequently at the moment. We're 32 games in, I'm unbeaten yet.

What is the best way to manage players like this? I've put them both onto light training. What about game time?

More importantly, is there a way to make the weakness go away? They are only young players too.

I don't think you can do anything to make it disappear as a weakness but what I would say is I've had injury prone players who rarely get injured and I've had players who aren't injury prone get injured a lot. So I would forget about it being listed as a weakness and just play them, judge for yourself how often they are out.

Even players who do miss game through injury aren't such an issue as long as you have others in your squad who can come in & cover.

As for what to do, nothing treat them like any other player. First off though take them off light training, it'll make injures worse.

I suppose it depends on the report. I have two very important players in my team and the report says '{Player} fairly susceptible to injuries'. These players pick up the odd injury, but so does everyone else. Haven't noticed any issues with them. I have a few rotation players who 'might have problems with injuries' and they seem to pick up little knocks quite a bit more.

1 is fairly susceptible, this guy gets knocks like any other player. Other one is now "potential serious injury problems" (something like that). I guess with him, I'll hope he goes through a good spell, get his value up and offload him. He scores for fun when he's fine. But looking at promotion, I'm going to need more stable players next season I guess.

Since the weakness doesn't go. I don't suppose there's a way to prevent it appearing in the first place? Or is this just randomly done?

Ta Mucho
