Making a Yugoslav/Balkan/Adriatic League

So I'm trying to make a league combining the A leagues of Bosnia and Herz., Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia, though I would limit the clubs from Maceodnia and Montenegro and they are not so good. I want each nation to keep it's national team, and think it would be easier to just make their domestic B leagues into normal domestic divisions, or even domestic reserve editions if that means no EUROs.

Thing is, I did this

- Go to the "Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/football manager 2013 editor/format/database" directory.

- Right click the nation file and select edit.

- Scroll down to the record that begins with <!-- Continent -->

- Remove the line that says: <boolean id="is_read_only" value="true"/>

which I read on another forum, and I still can't activate Yugoslavia. I also read that it's a good idea to use the defunct Ireland pre-1922 team, but I can't change the continent on that either.

I've never used the editor before so I'm a bit confused. If I go to Database>Competitions>Yugoslav First League it lets me add teams, and I assume it would run the competition? But when I go to Rules>Add Nation Rules> all the dead countries are not active. Basically, where should I hatch this league of mine? I know I can add teams to Yugoslavia, but what good is that if I can't add them as a playable country at the begining of the save, therefore shutting off acess to my created league?

Also, if I can't figure out a way to add Yugoslavia, what country should I create this league in?

Go to this location.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2015 Editor\data\format\database

Click on nation.xml and open it with a text editor.

And search for this section.

<!-- Continent -->

<record>

<flags id="field" value="Ncti"/>

<string id="name" value="Continent"/>

<flags id="type" value="database_record_unique_id"/>

<flags id="database_table_type" value="continent"/>

<boolean id="is_client_field" value="true"/>

<boolean id="is_read_only" value="true"/>

Then you need to change the "is_read_only" from true to false.

Change the value of <boolean id="is_read_only" value="true"/> to <boolean id="is_read_only" value="false"/>

Save your changes and start the FM editor, and now you can change the continent of nations.

If you want to keep the separata national teams, you can stop Yugoslavia from entering the World Cup Quals by not checking the box "Full FIFA Member".

I don't think you can keep them out of the EURO Quals. You'd need them to be members of UEFA anyway, if you want clubs to qualify for the CL and EL. But if there are no players in the game with Yugoslav nationality, the national team should just consist of grey players.

So far I have selected all of my teams. I have 20 teams in the top league, 21 in L2, 21 in L3, and 10 in L4. I activated Yugoslavia and put em in Europe, and slapped all the teams in Yugoslavia. If I got it right I created the leagues first, then added the leagues to the country (at least this came easier to me). I have the top leauge's of Serbia, Crotia, Bosnia, Macedonia, and Slovenia, alongside a funky team from Moldova (Transinistria) called Sheriff. My promotion/relegation scheme is 3 down from L1, 3 up (2 auto-matic, 1 from a 3rd-6th playoff) and 3 down from L2, 3 up (2 auto-matic, 1 play-off from 3rd and 4th) and 1 down for L3, and 1 up for L4 (champions). Pretty sure I know how to set this up.

So I after taking out all the team's from those countries top-leagues I de-activated them as I'm thinking this won't let them qualify for Champions/Euro Cup stuff?

Do I leave the competition types of other leagues in those countries as Domestic Division, or switch it something like Domestic Other Division, Reserve Edition, etc? Can someone clarify what the other divisions mean as I've had a tough time finding search results. If I know what to do with the domestic leagues I have left for the member countries I'd be good I think. Serbia still has a 16 league l2 say, and I don't want them qualifying for EURO's, nor do I have any intention of changing my league structure to incorporate them so I'd love for a way to just let them be a domestic league.
