bobellis75
Ok...new to the game and loving it but some questions.... I started off my career mode coaching Weston-super-Mare in the VMS league and did okay and was very good at transfers...the board was loving the transfers I made and really improved the team a lot. Was really moving up in the division in year 2 and then was offered a job and moved up. Now is where the questions come in. I took over York in Sky Bet League 2. They were not well off and my goal this season is just not to get relegated. I can NOT seem to win anymore! I guess my main question has to do with scouting/transfers. I have followed my scouts advice and sent out transfers and signed players, but upon signing them, the scouting reports change. The players show up on my team and are much worse than originally scouted. I'll look at the summary and the scouts say "This guy is a first teamer and will be one of the best players on our team." Then I sign him and the board says "Bad move" and the guy goes from 3 or 4 stars to 1 star. Not sure what the deal is...is there just a risk there with what your scouts thing versus what the guys really are? Are these guy like 4 star players in a lower league, then move up a level and become worse? It's killing me...I keep thinking "Oh I've got this great GK coming in to replace my terrible keeper" and then he shows up and he's worse than my current keeper. Any help would be great.... Thanks!!! bobellis75
anyone? Help? I'm just getting frustrated as the scouting reports would tell me one thing and then I'd sign a player on transfer and the player was terrible (after being told he was really good). Frustrating. SI Staff Alari Naylor Posted August 10, 2015 SI Staff Share Posted August 10, 2015 Scouts are not always accurate but neither is your board or your assistant manager stars - they can give something of an indication but ultimately you have to trust your own judgement based on attributes, performances and character.
