billyblenx
Guys, i'm new at this forum but old at FM. 6 weeks ago I downloaded a megapack of background stadiums and some competitions, dont know if i can post the link here but dont think it's necessary. It's good stuff, i'm very pleased. for each club you have 2 pics, like this "juventus-stad" and "juventus-team" the problem is that i never found out where the pics destined to the stadiums are in the game if you go to juventus squad you'll see the pic "juventus-team", if you go to juventus schedule, general, facilities, u19, etc.. always the same picture and the file 'config.xml' is saying that "juventus-team" is for ID 1139 (ok, it works) and "juventus-stad" for ID 1209 (that's the point, i can't find any screen, window or lobby with that ID in the game) I try to search ingame for that ID but that's impossible haha, the search bar only works with words :/ that's it, I mentioned juventus for example but that happens with every club I hope I have been clear appreciate any help
tyler16
The stadium pictures are likely for the actual stadiums and not backgrounds. I believe FMC displays this by default as do most downloadable skins. I've actually helped with a big stadium megapack. I'm sure you know where to find it. michaeltmurrayuk
Depending on how the config file is done the stad pic will most likey be for the stadium which should show on the match screens and I think the stadium screen (which you should be able to get to by clicking the stadium name on the facilities page or from the league table stadium list view). Different ids will be because some stadiums have different ids to the clubs, mainly in cases where the club has got a new stadium since first appeared in CM/FM. They could also be used as stated by tyler16.
billyblenx
[/img] right, i noticed now, config file: "<record from="juventus-team" to="graphics/pictures/team/1139/background"/><record from="juventus-team" to="graphics/pictures/club/1139/background"/><record from="juventus-stad" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/1209/stadium"/>" I noticed now that isn't a background but is there any occurrence in the game where this stad-pic will be shown? I am attaching 2 pics, first one shown the background working perfectly, the second shows the stadium where there is no ID and no background. I confess I have not noticed the match screens yet but I believe that doesn't shows the stad-pics as well, I'll play the next game here and tell you later. billyblenx
all the pre-match, build-up and 'during the match' screens has this default background, I wonder when the 'stad-pics' are shown cause the pack has almost 2GB and i'm using probably 1GB. lol

There is another entry you need in the config file to get backgrounds to show on the match screen (depending on the skin it might not be clear here as the default panels aren't very transparent) and on the stadium screen, which should be: <record from="juventus-team" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/1209/background"/> What image you use (team or stad one) doesn't matter to the game, though it sounds like the stad pics are designed for the small stadium image as stated by other people so I expect they will be small images that will be blurry when enlarged for the full screen. Whilst the id you need to use is the stadium id.
billyblenx
No, all the images (stad and team) are 1920x1080 and I play full screen, that's why I thought it would be a background. As the skin I use the 'dark base 2015' which I downloaded from your site michael it was helpful for me to replace the logos with kits on the Split Screen Overview, thank you very much for that btw. Now, I dont know if I get it right (english is not my birth language), but you're saying to add this piece of code at the end if I would be interested in have background images on the match screens, thx for the info but i was more curious about where the stad-pics are in the game and dont have the need to add background images on the match screen. Plus I think it would be one more distraction to the match in have these backgrounds haha, I already got used to the default view.
billyblenx
NavyWolf, I think this is the screen you referred. There's nothing above the stadium name and capacity but thanks for the help anyway.

If you are using the Base skin the Stadium pics won't show as they aren't used in the Default skin it is based on. If you have a look at the screenshots in this thread you can see where the stadium pics have been enabled in some custom skins - club screen in post #1 and news screen in post #3 for example. If you have no interest in adding the above modifications to your skin to show the stadiums then you can safely delete the stad pics from your background folder to save you some hard drive space if you need it. And yes if you added the code I posted above then you'd get stadium images appearing in your screenshots above that show the default background as well as in the match screens. billyblenx
Thank you michael, it's all cleared up. At the moment I do not need much hard drive space so I'll leave the stad pics where they are. Cheers!
Andrew Haines
There is another entry you need in the config file to get backgrounds to show on the match screen (depending on the skin it might not be clear here as the default panels aren't very transparent) and on the stadium screen Is the additional entry needed in the background pack's configuration file to get the image on the match screen? I've had a few comments on this that other peoples backgrounds work on matchdats but never been able to get it working on my pack. I put it down to the skins but maybe it's me. On the reason for two images. Partially it's backwards compatability to older FM versions but also because there are alternative configuration files included that allow different images in different places. For instance -team on the club info page and -stad on the squad page.
michaeltmurrayuk
Yes you just add the extra line to the existing config file for the backgrounds (so you have four lines of code for each team instead of the current three lines).
