kidhander1983
I think that U20 selections in the game are seriously broken, especially for non top teams. In my example, Germany U20, where 1998 players should be called. Only 1 1998-born player was called! This is something that however happens to all nations. Calls should be more tied to the last year of eligibility, we don't see many under aged players, even in the non-elite WJCs. More in the detail. In my DEL team I have several U20 players, in particular I have 4 forwards who get regular ice time and who are scoring points at men's level. They, of course, haven't been called. The coach prefers scrub players skating in junior leagues with 1 in most attributes. In some cases even 2-3 years younger. All this make no sense. I don't know if the called players have better CA/PA or what, but especially in non-elite teams, playing with the men's team should be considered a prime reason to skate at the WJC. During the WJC one of my forwards, Daniel Kohl, a regen/newgen, scored two goals and two assists as we defeated Nurnberg 6-3 away. Now, I think it's very unlikely that a player of this calibre wouldn't be called for the WJC by a nation like Germany. Production should simply have a bigger role in the game. I think that all the other nations have the same problem, but being the pool of good players in countries like Canada or Russia, it's much less evident (age factor a part). Named
I've seen similiar situation in EHM 2007 in future years when GM of Team USA called very poor players and they have been relegated so strange these young players seems to be called on ***** and repuatation not attributes or stats.
