PoopyPants
I'm sure you all remember Barnetboyz amazing thread about the 'Unmentionables' of the game for the 8.0.1 patch, well this is its twin brother... Meet Mr. Unmentionables 8.0.2. The Unmentionables are basically cheaper (but just as good) versions of players that are well known (eg. Lloris, Veloso, Aguero). It's my intention that this will turn into a discussion thread about your own favourite 'Unmentionables' of the game. Goalkeepers Steve Mandana - Has already agreed a transfer to Marseille, but due to them already having two established keepers, he's usually sold for peanuts in season two. Tim Wiese - At only 25 he has his best years ahead of him and, well, 5 mil for them stats (Or agree to sign him for nothing in Jan and he'll join in the summer). Full Backs Christian Pander - Not exactly un-talked about, but his stats and performances demand more attention. Like Tim Wiese, you can snap him up on a free in Jan or you can pay around 3mil at the start. Paulo Ferrari - A quality Argentinian full back and a snip at 1.2mil. Simply a must buy if you need a full back. Centre Backs Leandro Rinaudo - The perfect player for the corner bug with his 20 heading and 17 jumping. He can defend, but not much else. You should be able to sign him for around 2mil. Dorin Goian - Only 1.2mil for an awesome defender, but as above he can't do anything except defend. Defensive Mids Edidio Arevalo Rios - A Uraguayian (sp?) international, and with decent -> good stats for everything, is a good signing for middling to lower prem teams. Ramires - Basically a young Brazilian worth 160k (Sign him for around 250k) who has 14+ in every important stat. He also has very good physical stats for a young brazilian. Attacking Mids Marek Sapara - A great attacking mid for teams like Wigan. Worked wonders with Arshavin, with Marlon King bagging loads from his assists. He also takes free kicks as though they're open goals. Per Ciljan Skjelbred - A yong Norweigen international. On most of my saves he goes on to play for one of the Italian or Spanish giants. So snap him up quick for just over a mil. Wingers Mota - Yes, he is an ugly tw*t, but for 750k, I'd snap him up quick. LeonardoMota - In Ajax's reserve team, you can get him on a season long loan. A good left winger who when played in the right tactic - can be a world beater. Strikers Milan Jovanovic - A great player to use as a fast target man. He hardly ever misses one-on-ones. He's a Serbian international with an amzing record of a goal a game at international level (well he's played once) who you can buy for 1.5mil tops. Gaston Fernandez - More of a deep lying centre forward imo, he can also play attacking mid. Good at everything, he is the all round striker that you can buy for 2.5mil. Finally, I hope this helps you, but remember - the intention of this thread is for you to post your 'Unmentionables' players as well. Thanks for reading, PoopyPants
TractorBoyTuck
Good thread My personal favourite is a GK called Andriy Pyatov, who I've decided I shall recommend to everyone as he is brilliant. He starts at Shaktar and cost me a fair amount in season 4. Just to show his pedigree, he only onceded 26 goals in 46 games in the championship. Another half decent player is Carlos Villanueva, who is a solid AM that can play on the left or in the center. Not sure where he starts but he is a very good player. For a defender I've always been fond of Joel Huiqui, who always seems to do well for me. Doesn't look astounding, but never lets you down. I went 4 seasons with him and he never made a mistake. golfpunk
I'm not sure if Danny Haynes is a 'mentionable' or an 'unmentionable' but I'm going to say him. You can pick him up for just under £2million, as I did in one of my Fulham games. He is VERY quick and consistently scores me 25+ goals a season in the EPL. Can score 30+ easy in the Championship with Ipswich. A MUST buy if you don't have alot of cash to spend P.S I'm 7 seasons in with Ipswich and he is one of the only existing original players at the club and he is still my no.1 striker. However, he still hasn't been capped by England yet and I'm playing Champs league football every season now. Ridiculous if you ask me.
Barnetboyz
The Unmentionables wasn't really just for the 8.0.1 patch but i like this thread so i'll allow it Mandana is a brilliant keeper

Welshace
jonny magallon - brilliant CB with excellent defensive stats and is perfect for mid to low table premiership teams.. either as backup or first team.... snap him up for about 1.5 mil
Welshace
sorry for double posting gregory thil - top quality striker ...great stats... and only costs you around 100k in the beginning... snap him up quick
Barnetboyz
Might aswell help while i'm here D/WB/AMRL Pablo Herrera - Natural in 8 positions and a great young player, physical stats might not be too good but he gives 110% each game and has good technical stats, also cheap AMC Celso Borges - Another Costa Rican star in the rough, signed him in league 2 when my assistant said he was a good signing for most premiership sides highly rated DC/DM Gojko Kacar - Amazing Serbian defensive player, great stats and hardly mentioned on these forums iirc, not sure how much he would cost though, could be retrained into a fairly successful AMC imo
adamj11
DC - Mate Ferrari not exactly unheard of but is awesome you can get him for free second season and got in team of the year first season with me at Bimingham ST - Kezman, I signed him as cover for my Juve team after selling Trez and Iaquinta, he was playing 2nd fiddle to Amauri but when Amauri got injured he scored 15 goals from Feb 2nd to March 17th and found I couldn't drop him, now I play 2 up front
Welling United-The Wings
I love Raldes-Central at the start of the game... he is solid for a top championship club and only 100-250k.... He developed nicly and plays for my charlton team currently 16 in the 2nd season(premiership) take a look and tell me what you think....He is Bolivian i think..... Welling United-The Wings
Sorry for double post but... CASSIO-GK-PSV or Feyornord dont know if he is unheard of but becomes one of the best keepers around season 2 or

merridius
anthony scribe- always becomes a great keeper after a few seasons for me. will take maybe 3 or 4 though. wont cost much at the start. sometimes you can snap him up for free.

Scott08
A.Valencia (Wigan) - AMRC He's definatly known but is rarely mentioned here. I've found him to be a really good winger. Good Pace + Acc, Great technique.. Can Pass and Dribble. Gets to the byline and gets crosses in. Plus he's good off the ball and has a high work rate. All-in-all.. a top player.
real_betis
Ramon Diaz - Great looking left-winger. Cheap as chips but could have work permit problems. Vladimir Koryt'ko - Beast of a player, a bit slow though, but should do a great job at AMC and AMR. Can be picked up for about £1.8m Damian Gimenez - Solid left-back, cheap as hell. Amazing defensively and not a bad cross on him either. Sergio - Great AMC or right winger. Should come quite cheaply but only in January as he's just joined Sivasspor at the beginning of the game Ugur Yildirim - Great Beckham-style right-winger. Fantastic crosser of the ball that can be picked up for around £3m in January. Lenilson - Tank of an AMC. A bit slow but he's hella strong and can be signed for about £750k-1m in January. Artavazd Karamyan - Decent left winger. Should be good for Championship to Lower Prem sides and cheap at £1m. Plays for Poli 1921 Joost Broerse - Pretty solid, cheap DMC. Gary Medel - Cheap young versatile Chilean. Great player. Bruno Lopes - Awesome left back for about £500k, becomes absolutely awesome.
Stomalomalus
Mario Santana, Fiorentina, AMR has always been good for me, and comes reasonably cheaply. 18 for crossing and dribbling and 19 acceleration! really good winger
C(r)ouch
Oscar Ahumada - a great DM, with Italian nationality so WPs won't be a problem Juan Manule Torres - the Argentine version of Roy Keane Luigi Bruins - the Dutch version of Juninho Pernambucano, a class young player, might cost a bit Nicolas Fauvergue - from LOSC, a very decent target man, scored 30+ goals in the league for Lille in the first season Good call on Ferrari, he is one of the best right backs in the game
JawKam
any good German nationality thats cheap?
Cereal_Dave
Bernardo - Young attacking MC from Cruzeiro, lots of potential. Rocco Quinn - Another young, cheapish MC. Good all round stats, great movement. Alexandre Bonnet - Versatile AMC, can play on both wings. Has all the basics to be a good player. Claudiu Keseru - Striker who can be picked up for about £1m. Natural goalscorer with good PPMs to aid him. Rinar Valeev - Cheap, versatile attacking player, plays best in an MC role. Strong tackling, good passing and shooting. Only problem is a WP. Ygor - A great defender with no weakness. Can play in midfield and pass the ball too. Again, work permit problems for Premier league, but worth a look for anyone else. Slim Charles
Good thread. Mandanda is class, my favourite keeper on the game. Bosingwa is a good attacking right back for about £6m first season. Flano from Osasuna a good right back as well. Laryea Kingston a very solid all round CM from Hearts for £2.5m. Abdoua Razack Traore a good LW from Rosenborg for about £1m.
Mike_Cardinal
Juan Manuel Torres from San Lorenzo. Honestly, I think he's one of the better DMs on the game, never seen him mentioned on here at all though. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6205/juanmanueltorresgt6.jpg I think you have to load all Argentinean players for him to come up, but he's young and is available for an absolute bargain price at something around 640k! tarbanrael
Kirill Pavlyucheck. really good DLC. Has good stats, specially heading and jumping which means he scores quite a few headers. A bit hard to get a work permit at first though.

heavybass
Helder Barbosa - AML - Porto Buyable for 1mil he is the cheap man's Ronaldo.
heavybass
Adding to Unmentionables and I'm very surprised no one has spotted this but you can get two wingers who are internationally experienced and will join for free. First off: Christian Rodriguez - URU - Benfica - AML A left winger that can cross the ball, go for corners and basically is pacey and quick... he is 22/23 and can signed in January to June for free... he can basically be useful to midtable clubs like Villa, Blackburn and Pompey and can easily walk into sides like Fulham, Birmingham, Sunderland and Derby. Second: Tranquilo Barnetta - SUI - Leverkusen - AMRL He can go down both wings although he is recommened as a right winger and is only 22 but this guy can walk into the big 4 as major backup due to his monsterous pace and speed and can guarantee a starting place for midtable clubs.
heavybass
Oh and Barnetta can be bought for free and has 170+ potential but he is usually on high demand and interest follows especially for this guy.
causeforconcern
Edu Albacar- Hercules Left Back Can be bought for under two million easily and we double in value fairly quickly. Fast with decent defensive abilities but his strength lies in going forward and amazing set pieces.
McNuggetâ„¢
Santos - FC - Sao Paulo Amazing player, PA of 165+. Scores average 1 goal per game after 1st season.
buttymcfc1
vincent enyeama, big clubs always sign him, great goalkeeper Toto tamuz, like enyeama plays in the israeli league but will load on all games really, great forward, will get 20 finishing if trained properly
adamj11
Enyeama isn't what you would class as unmentioned on this forum he is known to be one of the best keepers in the game.
Phil FTM
A few people who have done good for me; - Dimitar Makriev, ST. (Bulgaria) - Sebastian Rusculleda, ML. (ARG / ITA) - Manasseh Ishiaku, ST. (Nigeria / Belgium) - Yan Kermorgrant, ST. (FRA) - Radoslaw Janukiewicz, GK. (POL) - Luca Frachini, DC. (ITA) Most used in Championship + lower (not sure how good Ca and Pa is just good stats) Need all players loaded from Bulgaria, France and Poland though.
Oeffel
Great thread. Thought I'd contribute with a player with noticable stats! Did my best trying to sign this guy, but haven't succeeded yet: Victor Obinna Managing PSV at the moment, and had bids of 10M (euros) rejected, though he's playing in just the Serie B. Maybe someone can report if he's any good...
Phil FTM
Obinna looks good, just his finishing and composure is a bit low, don't thonk i would spend to much on him.
McNuggetâ„¢
Anyone know of a cheap AMR? Missed out on Kalouda. In desperate need of one. (Championship)
Phil FTM
Nicolas Raynier seems good, not sure how he performs they want 170k for him on my season.
mikmikmik
there is this kid call scott golbourne, so far i did not see anybody mentioning him, he starts with stats that when you actually see him you will be turned off ( thats when i play a new game and search for him, he dosent really look good ) but i actually found him in a game where im playing newcastle for my 6th season and as england manager i need to find english talents to fill up my national pool and i came across him, he developed into a very very world class left back, think he needs time to develop, anybody had any chance with him? in my newcastle save, he was awesome and had everything a left back needs but the only thing hindering him was his tackling was at 14 the rest was perfect
santy001
Had Scott Golbourne at reading and he was fantastic, after having been relegated in their first season I went in the second season, and there was the need for a large clear-out of players on high wages. Golbourne is even better as a left midfielder than a left back, he plays very, very well and he never got a call up to England in the 4 seasons I was manager of Reading but he was always getting 20+ assists a season and beating players for fun. He didn't look too great at first, but came on leaps and bounds. As for actual unmentionables, it seems really out there but stoke left back carl dickinson turned out surprisingly well for me, he came on a part exchange deal for a player in my newcastle reserves. Injury forced me to play him and he turned out to be a very solid youngster.
mikmikmik
yep, in terms of stats, he does look better than marcelo and they actually play the same position, anywhere on the left, and his speed, crossing everything is just up there.. looks like somebody have same sentiments as me
