Adding/calling up players to national team under 21s

Recommended Posts

I've scoured the internet and this forum for answers to this and I can't find a solution. How do you add players to a national team Under 21 (and Under 19) roster? The only option I have for every player in my National Pool is to "Call Up to [National Team] Squad" -- which calls them up to the Main squad. But I simply CANNOT figure out how to add players to the Under 21s, Under 19s and B-squad (which is weird, but from other forums I've figured out occasionally can be used).

Any ideas????

I'm assuming that you're managing the senior national side which is the most likely reason why you have no control over the youth age group selection because it's not part of your job.

You can certainly both hire and fire them as national A team coach on FM13. Don't know if the option was removed for 14 or 15.

But yes, of course it is completely unrealistic that the A coach should have any say in the matter.

Can you fire national youth team managers? Been years since I took on an international job but I'd be surprised if you could do that.

Yeah, I can't imagine a single country where someone not directly in the national association (in the administration that is, not a coach) would decide who to hire or fire for national youth team management.

I'd even say that it's not very realistic that the head coach of the senior national team should be in charge of hiring assistants/coaches/physios/scouts for the senior team. Of course he should be able to make his suggestions, but I'd think this too falls in the responsibilities of the association.
