My question was answered in part in a previous thread, but it seems the interface is slightly different for the tablet and the PC versions. Question 1: I'm new to football (I'm slowly converting from American Football) so my knowledge of tactics/terminology is very limited. I'm interested in the economics and long term planning. If I want my assman (Assistant Manager) to pick my tactics, instructions, match plan, and lineup, do I simply go to "Instant Result ---> Select "Yes" to leave everything to my staff AND leave match plan blank? Does this also mean that I don't have to set my lineup? I want to make sure my assman is doing all those things and that my results are not being compromised because I'm leaving in tired players or no instructions, for instance. Question 2: For my players, it appears that as long as I have a M (L) playing in a M (L) position, the "role" I place in the tactics screen AND the player's roles does not matter. After reading about the FM full version, it does matter. For instance, in my 4-4-2, I want a Wide Midfielder role along with my M (L) ability. Please confirm that the role matters in FMC15. On a side note, I'm a silly American who have been nudged into football by an old friend, a college friend who is an agent for MLS players, and my Italian in-laws. After a six month search, I settled on supporting Bournemouth. I almost picked Burnley, but being relegated ruined that plan. Bournemouth's story warms my soul and supporting Man U or Chelsea is like rooting for the casino to win. Thanks again for the help. I look forward to learning more about this great sport!
