vesna
I bought the game as soon as it was released. My soon to be ex fiancee has gotten very addicted to the game and he somehow managed to download the game legally onto his laptop too. My game that I have bought with my own money. I would like to know, first, how to deactivate my account, and second, will that prevent him from playing the game on his laptop too assuming that is not a pirate version. I do believe that it isn't. But it could be. He could have been trolling me when he said he had managed to install the game with his save game on that other laptop. Please explain if you can what he did and can I have the effing game removed from my laptop? I liked it very much but now I can't bring myself to play any more. Guest
Edit: Assume he's playing on his laptop but using your steam account, if you do not want him playing your version then just change your steam password, if you want to gift the game over to his account then I'm afraid that isn't possible as once activated the game is locked to that account. Welshace
Just to confirm what Barside has said.. The game is linked to your own Steam account only, so if he has access to the game, it is through your Steam account, change the password and he loses access to the game and account. Optimistic Dave
Assuming you bought it on Steam, to remove it from your laptop, go to the game's page on your Steam Library, right click it and select "Delete Local Content". If bought from shop then uninstall from the Control Panel as with any software. This would make a great Jeremy Kyle segment.
