Tutoring Problem

Have just tried to tutor a young player in my squad and it has failed due to personality difference.

Tutor was a resolute personality and the tutee has a determined personality, why wouldnt this work?

I think this is a somewhat random chance event. Might be more likely to happen if there is a significant personality difference which could be due to any number of other hidden personality attributes. Adaptability, pressure, temperament, sportsmanship, ambition etc. Just because their determination is somewhat similar doesn't mean they have a similar personality. That said I think this is mostly just bad luck.

btw. Also look at their media handling style for more information about their personality. It can sometimes give some valuable extra insight. There is a thread somewhere with all the details, I think it's in Cleon's Ajax thread but I'm not sure.

I almost always get the "so-and-so is disillusioned blah blah blah" message after tutoring, but their personality will still change, usually becoming more professional/resolute.
