keithw44
I’ve got the following players in my squad, how can I get the best out of them in terms of tactics, roles, TI’s, PI’s etc. ST, 5* target man 4.5* in all other striker roles, with ppm’s shoots with power, tries first time shots. AM (LRC) 4* trequarista, engache, AP, AM, + 3* winger/WPM, with ppm’s plays one two’s, runs with ball often. M © 4* RPM, BBM, DLP, AP, CM, BWM. With ppm’s runs with ball through centre, gets into opposition area, runs with ball often. M © AM(RLC) 4* AP, DLP, RPM, CM, BBM, BWM, AM, engache, trequarista, SS with ppm’s runs with ball down left, runs with ball through centre, tries killer balls often, tries to play way out of trouble. M/AM © 3.5* AP, DLP, RPM, BBM, CM, AM, SS, engache, trequarista, with ppm’s runs with ball through centre, tries killer balls often. AM (RL) 3* winger, IF, AP, with ppm’s runs with ball often. M © 3* BBM, RPM, BWM, AP, DLP, CM with no ppm’s Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks
herne79
There are a miriad of ways to "get the best out of them". But only you know how you want them to play, and only you know who your players are. Try putting something together, test it out, and discuss any issues that may crop up when or if they occur. Marsupian
A single striker formation with a #10 behind him seems like an obvious choice from the players available. If you have wide players who can also play in the midfield strata I would go with a 4-4-1-1 as it provides more defensive solidity down the flanks with the wide players tracking back. You also have a bunch of players with pretty offensive preferred moves which should help make those wide players more dangerous. The challenge here will be how to make sure you keep your midfield pair defensively solid as you seem to have more in this area. You will need at least one player here who is primarily concerned with covering your defense so they can hold their position and another who tends to stay back enough so he can help out his partner defensively. Besides that it's really up to you. You can't just decide from some star ratings and best roles whether to play with a high defensive block or a deep defensive block, whether to attack mostly down the flanks with crosses and bombing fullbacks or to create mostly from the middle with a central playmaker pulling the strings or decide whether to play your striker deeper to connect with the midfield and create from space or play him on the shoulder to keep their defensive line under pressure and get at the end of balls. You need to make a plan for who to defend and how to score goals. That will decide your mentality, shape, roles and instructions. It's not a simple calculation you make from the players available and their attributes.
