We're happy to announce that with the launch of the Steam Controller today, Football Manager 2016 supports the use of Steam Controller*.

Simply plugin your Steam controller, and in Big Picture mode go to Library -> Football Manager 2016 and select Play.

You will be taken to the controller configuration where you can choose the recommended Steam Controller configuration for Football Manager 2016.

*Supports Steam Controller only on PC/Mac/Linux. Xinput Controllers not supported.

Hi Lucas.

Do you happen to have a Steam Controller profile for 2017?  (or could you possible send me the profile you had for 2016 or upload it for 2017 on Steam?)

2016 is the only version I didn't pick up as I was busy with my main job to play FM last year.

I picked one up the other day and was it's good in basic mode,  I'd love to see how much better FM could be on the TV using the steam link and controller.

Cheers mate

The FM17 one is published if you look at the Community configs and download the one by SI Games. Looking into the possibility of sorting this as a default configuration when possible. Thanks.

I have used a steam link with a USB trackball plugged in as mouse, works great

Shame about the UI issues (changing subs / dragging shirts doesn't work on the tactics screen) at the moment

It's a bit fiddly with the steam controller itself but workable
