Editing default competitions in Database

I like playing low leagues & thought this year would get down & use the editor in doing a low league database. I have added nation rules for England which adds the leagues down to Level 7. I have no need to touch leagues down & including level 6, & also Johnson Paint trophy & League cups. I can edit the Regional leagues once they are active, but also need to edit the FA Cup & Trophy as there will be more clubs included & more rounds. How do I do this as you cannot seem to open them to edit them. Do I have to delete them & add new cups from scratch or is there another way. Presumably this is also true regarding other default leagues.

You will need to either delete the FA Cup from the list of cups and rebuild the structure, or convert to advanced rules and add the previous rounds to the pre-existing structure. I would recommend the former if you are a beginner at using the editor, since the advanced editor can be rather complicated.

Thank you. Presumably this wont effect the default database if I have added the English leagues/cups through added nation rules, as that was my worry.

What is the advanced editor? Sorry to intrude on this thread when I'm not asking a question about the original topic, but I didn't know there was an "advanced editor". Where do I find that?

I looked at the advance rules, which are very comprehensive allowing you to do many things, but as a newcomer to editing found a bit overwhelming. So went back to using the normal rules, which are deep enough for me.
