ReubenT99
Welcome Hello! I recently joined the SI Forums after a friend told me about it and here I am writing a 'story' which I have often done in a few little groups on the Internet but nothing like this so I guess you can say it's something new for me. I was looking around for a save and then I thought to myself "Why not finally make a Carlisle save?" and as you can see by the title I did, this is because I support Carlisle and live in Carlisle, where my whole family has been born apart from me, I was born in Milan and lived there for two years before moving at three. I attend Carlisle games often, I have missed just two so far (counting home and away) both being away games, so I felt it would be perfect to start a save with the team I love and take us to the very top. Carlisle United - A History Carlisle have never really tasted success in their 111 year history having only won titles like what was the Football League 3rd Tier etc. and they have never been in the Premier League, even then it's been 30 years since they were last in the Championship having very much been a League One/Two club. Carlisle were relegated to League Two last season after being in League One for the last eight years even once finishing fourth. The club were nearly relegated last season too, finishing 20th and spending most of the season in the relegation zone until a few wins late on in the season pushed them up and out of the bottom two. The Cumbrian side are rivals with many Lancashire clubs such as Preston and Burnley but also with clubs like Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and fellow League Two side, Hartlepool. The Key Men Jason Kennedy - Kennedy is an experienced head of the Carlisle squad having joined on a free from Bradford after a successful loan spell last season. He has played regularly in League One and Two and knows a lot about the league. Expect him to be a breaking up the play of the other team as he is a fantastic ball winning midfielder. Jabo Ibehre - Ibehre is a talented striker who is another experienced head at age 32. Spending his career in League One mostly, he is not a goalscorer, but very much a creative striker who will create brilliant opportunities for his strike partner. Although he has had poor spells at Barnsley and Oldham, he is expected to really preform in League Two for the Cumbrian side. Mark Gillespie - Gillespie is a 23 year old keeper who was brought up from the youth academy in 2008 and has been a rotational keeper only the last couple of season, playing 15 and 19 games in the last two seasons, however this year is the year that the Englishman is to step up and become the star of the show. With his great shot-stopping and reflexes, Carlisle know they have a talented man in between the posts.
dllu
Speaking as a poster who has done just that, it is always nice to see someone else try to lead their "own" club to glory. Best of luck!
Northernpilgrim
Good luck. Will definitely be following as a fellow League 2 (Plymouth Argyle) supporter, and yes, I was there for THAT game (Jimmy Glass and all that)
deltablue
I've always had a random soft spot for Carlisle, and knew a fan at University (back in the glory days of Karl Hawley). It helps that they play in blue

ReubenT99
August Review All I can say is.. WOW. I am very shocked at how well we've started as I really didn't expect us to be playing this well. The whole balance of the squad just seems to be perfect as everyone works as a unit and they stick to their positions and work hard, which is brilliant. As I started the season, I was quite disappointed with Kevin Osei as he was getting much lower ratings than everyone else, however he really turned it around after scoring a three against AFC Wimbledon after just twelve minutes, which was fantastic and since then has been piled in the goals. We beat Preston as well and drew in normal time with Burnley, teams that are two leagues above us which is very pleasing and shows how this squad has a lot of potential! Hopefully we can carry on next month with similar form and I'd like to just say that I won Manager Of The Month, Alex Gilliead won Player Of The Month and Bersant Celina and Josh Clarke came first and second in Young Player Of The Month respectively. I am very pleased with all the players, each have made a contribution and therefore all merit the reward of being top Anyway, we go into next month with everyone on brilliant morale and that is fantastic, we face Barnet, Dag & Red, York, Newport County and Leyton Orient in September so it's an easier month with three of the teams being placed in the bottom eight. An additional transfer screenshot has been added so you can see all the in's and out's!
Greyfriars Bobby
I had Dominic Blizzard on my club in my first memorable FM save, which would have been FM13. It's good to see a name from the past again. I'll be following. Good luck with your club!
Nobby_McDonald
Why are Carlisle rivals with Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough? What do they have against the North East?
marks91
I have a save going with Carlisle, too. You've made a great start! I do a lot of setting up before the start of the first season so only just played my first game where I beat Mansfield away 3-0 Got Blackburn away in the cup next which I'm not looking forward to. PLD3009
Also have a Carlisle save going, the nearest professional club to me. Went unbeaten in the preseason, though three of the four games are against teams in the county (Kendal, Penrith and the Reds). Won the first two league games, Mansfield 2-0 (A), Joyce was sent off & Cambridge 1-0 (H), sandwiched between that a 2-1 loss to Sheffield United in the League Cup. Lost the third game of the league campaign at Plymouth 2-1. Ibehre has scored three already this season. Also picked up on a three month loan deal from Manchester City - Bersant Celina, two assists so far in three games. Also set up an affiliate with Spurs, nothing coming of that so far Playing a 3-1-4-
