Football Manager 2016 tactics help

Recommended Posts

First of all I'm new to the game, ain't played it since 2007 so I was use to the sliders, I need help on my Birmingham save, we concede every game, most from long balls from the central midfield over the top of our two centre half's, our full backs are always standing off opposition allowing them to make runs into our 18yard box allowing them to find a unmarked striker, we have a fair amount of possession but we never do anything with it, our wingers don't seem to know what to do with the ball apart from run straight into the opposition full backs and give away possession, we find it hard to get into the 18 yard box, I play a 4-4-1-1 here's my match day 18

GK Kuszcak (Defend)

RB Paul Caddis (automatic)

CB Michael Morrison (defend)

CB Jonathan Spector (defend)

LB Jonathan Grounds (automatic)

MR Jermaine Pennant (wide attack)

CM Mikael Kieftenbeld (automatic)

CM David Davis (defend)

LM Demarai Gray (wide attack)

AMC Jon Toral (support)

ST Clayton Donaldson (Advanced Forward)

On the bench I have Adam Legzdins, Paul Robinson, Neal Eardley, David Cotterill, Stephen Gleeson, Brock-Madsen and Jamar Loza. Im also looking to sign Leon Best, I play counter attacking football with flexible team shape, can someone help me please!!!

We can't really help because you've provided no details about the issues you are having. If you don't provide indepth information and show examples about the crosses you concede from how do you expect help? Everyone would just be guessing. If you want help then put effort into your post because you are the only person who can provide the information needed. Have a read of this;

And please provide more info in the opening post so someone can actually help you. Without this the reasons why you concede so much could be one of a thousand different reasons because not all crosses are the same etc.

And long balls from there central midfielders straight over the top of our centre half's is where there mostly coming from, there's always a gap between our two centre half's, our full backs are always standing off opposition allowing them to make runs far to easily into the 18 yard box slotting it through to a unmarked striker, as for going forward our wingers seem to waste to much time on the ball, out number 9 looks isolated

I don't think you read Cleon's post or the linked thread properly. People want to help, but they can't because you're not supplying much info. I can't even see what mentality you're using??

Go through Cleon's post and link again and post what's required, please.
