Copying over data when duplicating competition's

The pre set tournaments don't seem to be able to be edited, though someone mentioned advanced rules, which are completely confusing. There is a facility to duplicate a tournament (all to the good) which gives a new unique ID, so you can edit that & delete the original. The only problem is it doesn't copy of data such as history or teams or rounds already in use, which is a big annoyance. Is there any way a tournament can be edited or copied over fully to edit, as it would very helpful. A tutorial in using the advance rules would also be extremely helpful, but that is another issue not really for this forum.
