Having Teams Qualify for Competitions

First of all, I would like to note that I am asking this question for both the editors of FM15, and FM16. I have not switched over to FM16 and would like to start outlining an idea of mine in FM15 and then move over to FM16 when I can buy it. If my idea can be done in one but not the other, please note that for me.

Mainly, I know how with continental competitions teams will qualify based on what nation their league structure is in. This is done automatically from what I know. If someone creates a new structure for lets say, Norway, the top division there will automatically get qualification spots dependent on coefficient, fair play, etc.

The thing I want to edit though is not a change for continental competitions, but still the same idea in that the best team(s) from nations will qualify for an international competition. An example would be I am creating the, "UK Annual Championship". I would want the teams that placed #1 last season in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland to qualify. There they would play a 3-game, 1 group competition for the winner. As far as I know, there is no way to make this happen. Creating the competition can be done easily, but connecting the #1 place in the leagues to qualifying for the Championship I have not found a way to do. I have seen some nation files that have custom code. If the qualifying cannot be created using normal editing, can it be created using advanced editing?

A final question to add, I would like to know if new nations can be created in FM16, or if it is still having to edit a currently non-playable nation like in FM15. Thanks for any responses to my questions.

Should be pretty straightforward. Someone created a Royal League - similar concept but for the Nordic countries. Look for it in the download forum and see how he did it.
