Need some advice with Liverpool tactic getting AML/AMRs to work

I'm in my 3rd season and I've kept most of the original Liverpool team. Much like previous seasons I've been between 3rd and 8th position in the table and getting whacked from time to time by lesser teams (which is admittedly realistic, but I'd like to do better). Coutinho especially; he's still my star player so I feel guilty seeing him struggle.

As you can see in the ratings, the wingbacks are the best players on the pitch, but the other players aren't doing exceptionally well. I find Coutinho and Lallana hard to use on the wing. I've tried their roles as IFs, Wingers, and APs, all to similar results. I play Ibe and Markovic as wingers, and they're usually better. Alternative tactics have produced similar results.

I've jumped from FM11 to FM16, so there are a lot of new things I'm struggling with, especially the player roles. I'm going to do more reading about tactics, but if any of you have some advice I'd be grateful.

IF support works well if you've got an attack duty striker because they'll fill the gap behind him. IF Attack works when you've got a support duty. Get them to roam but that's about it. Let them do their thing
