Magic Money Maker...........

Recommended Posts

Not taken the plunge for FMT yet, is the greedy SI magic sponge and customary early season post transfer window closing injury crisis still a regular occurrence?

Such a blatant money grabbing greed feature much akin to ultimate team on fifa just far less rewarding.

Likely wont impact my purchasing of the game but would be nice to know that SI have realised the error of their ways and are not extracting the urine out of the fans!

Hardly blatant, greedy or extracting anything considering it's completely user choice whether they want to purchase what are essentially cheats or not. So please watch your tone.

If you're having issues with injuries then it's likely a combination of squad management and training workload.

I personally feel the introduction of such an IAP spoils the game.

In years gone by the game was the game, that was that and it was loved because of that, now i feel left in dilemma because the IAP's create doubt in the game that is totally unrealistic compared to other features which mirror real life

eg

''If i magic sponged that player maybe i wouldn't have lost the final''

and that totally spoils it because its not just a decision that effects the outcome in game but also in your own pocket personally..

The majority of the IAP's are fine due to being readily unlockable in game but the magic sponge is a mockery as it is totally unrealistic. The better idea would just be for random early return to fitness for a player much like appealing a red card results in it being rescinded once every so often, a little touch to get a buzz from when it happens and not one that makes you go

''oh crap my 30+ goals striker is injured so i best spend real world money to cheat past an in game problem after spending £14.99 just to buy the game in the first place!''

Real life players get injured and mostly stay injured for the predicted amount of time by medical staff, the injections option (part of the game for years now) to get through the next game then be out longer is realistic and happens in the real world but you cant just have a magic sponge rub down after tearing a cruciate and be ready to go the following day, surely you can appreciate that?

For a game and developer that has long since placed pride and focus on its realism it doesnt sit to well with me and ,by previous stories read, lots of other fans that another 99p makes your problems got away............for now!

I don't see how not using something you don't want to use (or have to) ruins anything.

People could save and reload too. It's a bit of light hearted fun allowing some users to play the game as they wish. You don't want to, so don't use it.

Or, you know, not. You don't have to, that's the point. But if you wanted to, you can.

For a bit of fun, I think users should be able to play the way they want to, and not be dictated to by other users who disagree based on their view about how to play a game. Some users will use this and want to, some won't. If you don't want to, then don't. It really is that simple.

It's a cheat, and completely optional extra that users don't have to use if they don't want to. Many other unlockables can be earnt for free through gameplay and achieving in the game.

Most of those unlockables can be unlocked through playing the game, I think I unlocked three of them at the end of my first season. IIRC the only ones that can't be unlocked are the one shot ones like giving you more money or magic sponge.

So there are three options, ignore them, pay for them or play the game and earn them for free.

I refer you to my earlier point
