AlexMitchell
In my nufc save, I purchased Sven Bender in my first season. At first, he was a great buy, but now in my 2nd season he is picking up a ridiculous amount of yellows/reds. Aggression is 20 but no matter what I alter with his role in the side he is always a risk! Any advice? Or am I just going to have to accept it?
RTHerringbone
Roles are a factor, as are your Team Instructions and any Player Instructions you use. Aggression is defined in the online manual as: "This reflects a player’s attitude in terms of playing mentality but is not necessarily a dirtiness indicator. A more aggressive player will look to involve himself in every incident and get stuck in, perhaps at the expense of a yellow card or two. A less aggressive player may shy away from situations and merely drop into his comfort zone, waiting for the play to find him."
james_wilko
There's a player instruction to change his type of tackling, see if you can switch it to ease off tackles. I've got him, with Newcastle too, and he's constantly getting booked until I switched it to that. He still gets a few yellows, but a lot less. He's got the technical and mental stats to not dive him, I think his aggression just means he goes in a bit quicker/harder than necessary, so in theory switching him to ease off means he'll think a bit more before battering someone. I don't have a particularly long time running this, only around 10 games or so. But in that time I think he picked up 3 yellows, when normally it'd be twice that.
