Darth Rob
Just trying to play FM on a macbook air (normally use a windows machine with higher specs) and I find the game doesn't progress when not the active window. So if I press continue and it processes matches or something, then I alt+tab to Chrome browse a little and go back, FM will be where I left it. Similarly if I go on holiday then alt tab to another window, whenever I go back, even if its been 20+ minutes, it will be on the same day and only progress when it is the active window. Had a gander at the preferences but couldn't see anything, this didn't happen on windows on previous versions, not tried my windows machine with FM16. Is it a resources thing, not enough CPU? Perhaps FM isn't allocated any resources when not the active application? mahanhz
This started to occur for me when I moved to OS X Yosemite during FM 15 and it's still the same for FM 16. I haven't switched to El Capitan yet. See this thread http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/407649-Game-pauses-when-using-another-application-like-chrome-15-1-3 where gabross explains the reason being to do with the OS X "app nap" functionality. Darth Rob
That does look like the right thing. Instructions to disable app nap for a particular app don't appear to work for Steam/FM though (there is no "app nap" tickbox)
