matty2323
Im having some serious troubles in front of goal. Im creating an insane amount of chances and dominating games completely. However, i seem to incapable of putting the ball in the back of the net on a consistent basis. Opposition, however, seem to be able to score very easily. To be honest i watch most games on extended, so i see the Half Chances and CCCs. They're guilt edged, so much so that im surprised HCs haven't been given as CCCs. Here are my last 5 games to prove my point. When i actually put them in stats, it looks worse. Is this something alot of people are finding? or are my strikers simply duds? They still 20+ goals per season, but i average around 5% of my total shots are goals, and around 25% end up on target. Fosse
Usually you should be looking at around a shot on target ratio of 50%, normally it's the roles and duties aren't balanced so you'll need to post your own set up, probably too many attack duties
Salamander
Im seeing the same thing in my games, many close range shots that goes over or in strange directions and get blocked or saved by the keeper. Been trying diffrent roles, pis etc but found nothing that cures it yet.

ThunderZtormDK
I'm basically seeing the same thing in my early pre-season friendlies, which is a bit concerning to me. 3 friendlies, with shots/target of 15/6, 17/5 and 23/9. All against clearly worse opposition. Formation & roles/duties: TIs: My own thoughts: Do I have too few attacking players? It doesn't look like it, since I seem to have plenty people in the box. Sturridge is there, and more often than not, so's Firmino, Coutinho and Henderson when needed. We're playing pretty decent football generally, we're getting CCCs, dominating possession, have ~80% pass completion, everything I want really. We're just not hitting the goal. I'm wondering if I should be worried, or if I should just let it go for now and give the tactic, and team, time to settle before evaluating properly. RTHerringbone
ThunderZtormDK - Who is taking and missing the shots, or are they blocked shots? Pre-season isn't really anything to worry about if you're in the full game whilst you build tactical familiarity. Ideally you want 50% on target, but personally I include blocked shots in that total, on the premise that they wouldn't be blocked if they weren't on target. Well, the latest game, the 23/9 one, I had 3 goals, 5 missed, 2 woodwork, 6 saved and 6 blocks. So what you're saying is that it's looking a lot better than I think? Also, my tactic is between awkward and competent at the moment, I'd say maybe in average 38-40% fluidity

See how you get on in competitive matches.
matty2323
Usually you should be looking at around a shot on target ratio of 50%, normally it's the roles and duties aren't balanced so you'll need to post your own set up, probably too many attack duties As you can see by my statistics tho, its not a case of random shooting. Im generating alot of CCCs. Im talking 1v1s, sometimes 1v0s (rebounds) that go out for throw ins!! Im not sure how putting the ball in the back of the net has anything to do with the role the player is playing, but ill head your advice. Os
@matty2323 I think your roles are fine or you wouldn't be creating so many chances. Unless its a personnel problem your tactic is probably too good and the game is having to gerrymander things to keep your scorelines realistic.
