Help on my 433 Dm tactic

Recommended Posts

Greetings. trying to create a suitable tactic for the current crop of manutd players. i know they are versatile but i think a Dm 433 will suit them well for me. i'll create a 424 later when team is fully gelled. below is my player roles:

GK

FB(s) CD(d) CD(d) FB(a)

A(d)

RP(s) AP(a)

IF(a) IF(s)

CF(a)

I was using AF(a) for the striker but he wasnt scoring enough. thats where i need tweaking. what i want to play is a fluid attacking system where we run at defences and create countless chances and dominate in possession as well..

I have 8 team instructions. i might have to reduce it after reading Cleon's possession thread. my instructions are Roam from position, Be more expressive, Prevent short Gk distribution, offside trap, whipped crosses, higher tempo, shorter passing.

I also have a few players instructions. maybe i'll just clear all since i realised this yr the automatic instructions have bn done well.

I'm winning matches and a fair share but i'm not entirely convinced. i'm not looking at plug and play but i want to have a solid home tactic where i can input the above and dominate.

I want advice on player roles, etc if i need to change it. i wanted my team well balanced hence the above roles. maybe i might have to change the right wing inside forward with a support duty. i wanted to use advanced playmaker for Mata but since i already have an advanced playmaker in Cm i tot i shd maintain IF(s). was also considering Raudemeter. well i'm open to options. hope i have given enough info. any else will be addressed in the comments section

Your attacking play seems to be quite narrow with 2 IF cutting in. Maybe you can try using a winger(s) on 1 side to give you abit more variety. Can stretch the play wide and provide crosses.

Yeah i considered that but with the players at my disposal both wide players like to cut in unless i switch positions for them.

I would use wingbacks if inside forwards are ahead of them. I have been using this formation recently, and a DLF(a) works quite well. I flanked him with two IF(s) and included a CM(a) or BBM(s) in central midfield. The DLF(a) connects everything rather nicely if he has playmaking ability.
