Korre77
Hello everyone I play panathinaikos and started out with a team that plays well with 4-1-4-1 DM Wide and after 2-3 seasons with buying/selling players i decided to go to my favorite tactic which is 4-4-2 diamond wide. I have tried playing direct, preassure more and playing from the sides in team instructions(otherwise i left them to normal). The problems i get is that my DM is getting red cards very easily( i changed the tacklings to stand up to avoid the "every 4 games red". I even sold my DM because i thought he was messed up or something. I never get 50% + ball possetions and i also dont shoot so much at the goal. At this moment i have got 2 players in almost every position that is equally good and my team should easily be top 2-3. I feel that something is wrong with my tactics...either its bugged or im not understanding the game If i would change the tactics to my old 4-1-4-1 DM wide i would easily won the title or at least second place withing points. I have got at least 2 class strikers that could play in like serie a top teams
RTHerringbone
Please read this: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/327822-Asking-For-Help-PLEASE-READ-THIS You haven't given any detail whatsoever, apart from the formations used. We need to know Roles, Duties, Team and Player Instructions, Team Shape and any Opposition Instructions you tend to use.
noikeee
I doubt 4-4-2 diamond wide is a feasible formation anymore. It depends on how you set up the roles but essentially in this formation your DM holds your entire midfield on his own. I used to be able to get away with this far too easily on FM15 (it honestly felt like an exploit), but whilst I haven't tried this formation on FM16 it seems clear having bodies in front of your defence is now vital to avoid the opposition passing their way into dangerous positions. trajano080
As RTHerringbone said, we need to know the details, but I can still give some advice. Make sure your AMC is not a lazy role like Enganche or Treq, try setting your MR and ML to sit narrower and do not have your DM in a support duty. Enganche and Treq are not "lazy roles" . In fact, I don't think there are any lazy roles in FM. Players with different attributes will do more or less work than others, but that isn't due to their tactical role.
