michaeltmurrayuk
It depends on what you are wanting to do. If you are just wanting to change the colour of the background then download the relevant Base Skins (links are in the stickied thread) and in the settings file inside the settings folder adjust the RGB values of this line to match the colour you want to use: <colour name="ui_background" red="211" green="217" blue="224" /> <!-- Main UI background - red_replacement --> If you are also wanting to change the background on the match screens adjust this line: <colour name="match_background" red="56" green="62" blue="82"/> <!-- Main UI background - red_replacement --> If you are wanting to replace the background with your own picture then again use the Base Skin and follow the instructions on how to enable Background Changes (as you need to make the above files more transparent to see your new image), when you have done that create a new folder called backgrounds in the graphics folder for the base skin and then place the image you want to use in that folder and rename so it is called default. Then when you have done either of those options, switch to the Base Skin you have edited in game, or if you are already using the base skin turn off the skin cache and reload your skin. (If you are already using your own custom skin then follow either of the above instructions but apply them to your skin rather than the base skin - but you can still take the default files from the base skin). dbruce123
I got a image from an other custom skin (wannachupbrew) and applied it to the base custom skin and it changed the background to the wannachupbrew skin ?
michaeltmurrayuk
Still not sure what you mean if you have taken the image called default from the graphics\backgrounds folder for the wannachupbrew skin and put it in the same location for the base skin and you select the base skin in game then the base skin will use the background image you have taken from the wannachupbrew skin (though you may need to follow the other instructions in the base skin thread to make your image more visible). dbruce123
On the skinning Tips page it tells me to edit the paper.png and edit the transparency of the image but when editing i cant find the transparency area on it. (hope this makes sense.)
michaeltmurrayuk
Instructions for adjusting the transparency vary depending on what software you are using, if you are using paint.net then have a read of this thread: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/406890-FM15-Guide-How-To-Increase-Transparency-of-Screens (point 2 or 3 onwards in the opening post).
