le_crab
Just want people's opinions .Do you put a keeper on the bench or not?
ryan045
I do, but only for my OCD.
Welshace
Always, unless i'm lower league and need the depth or fitness is an issue and I need the extra space for outfield players to bring on.
Cougar2010
Yes but I generally don't if its three subs.
mrdanbartlett
Never, often not when I have 7 subs.... IMO you get probably 1 keeper injury every 2 seasons (in a match).
bulletsponge01
7 on bench, yes. 5 on bench usually not
Nocuous
Only in very specific circumstances will I forgo having a keeper on a 5 man bench, and that's usually when managing a very poor club with limited non-versatile players and where money is so tight that I don't bother with an actual back-up keeper and use the youth keeper in cases of emergency. It seems like keepers getting injured in a match or red carded is seriously rare in FM, maybe like 1 in every 5 seasons on average (maybe even less, I feel like I've had long saves where it never happened), but still when it happens it's best to be prepared as the hit to morale due to getting battered due to an outfield player in goal can have a bad knock-on effect too. dllu
Always. Mind you, in many leagues you are required to.
podunkboy
Only if the league requires one on the bench - I've played thousands of hours and only had 2-3 times when the keeper was unable to continue - I stuck my best defender in goal, played keep-away and held the lead or tie. Wavelberry
Hardly ever unless you're allowed 12 subs.
DavidPengilley
Yes. Versatile back-ups usually mean every position on the football pitch is covered on the bench, so I don't really have a reason to not
Roy Race 9
yes but I have played fm from the outset and only had to change keeper due to injury once
Lenzar
7 yes, 5 no. If I'm playing an older CM version of the game, I always have a subbie keeper as they get sent off in those versions.
