Javs1
Players never really seem to regress... I have Sid Crosby still scoring 40+ a year until he's 36, with no signs of slowing down. This is the case for most players. I believe players really take a hit around 30 expect a few, so hopefully this can be looked at as it was a problem in 07 too. Peter10
I am actually thinking the new players develop not good enough, at least the new created ones that are not yet in when you start the game. I posted it in a different topic but after like 15-17 year I had like only 5 players drafted past 2019 who reached a reputation of suberb or above. Keeping that in mind I can see why old players keep on scoring well into their mid-late 30s.
IvanIvanovich
I've seen this too but selectively. Players that are outstanding in one aspect will keep that one aspect high but loose out in everything else. For instance an offensive defender will keep making loads of assists but his +/- and "game score" goes south badly when he looses his legs. A great goal scorer will still score goals but will also lose out badly when it comes to +/- and "game score". Although it may not be a perfect representation of reality I can live with it as it pretty much reflects the decline in overall ability IRL.
